Yet another 3DS model announced - the NEW 3DS
Re: Yet another 3DS model announced - the NEW 3DS
Honestly, I'm in the definitely maybe leaning towards "I'm in!"....I mean faster cpu, second analogue stick(even if it's not the best design imo), second shoulder button on each side, and faster cpu also somewhat means faster store then sign me up. Since it doesn't come out until next year here most likely I'll be saving up and have more than enough come that time hopefully
as long as they keep original ds backwards in, I'll be good(if I can help it I don't like carrying around more systems since i can't decide what to play anyways sometimes...like you've never been indecisive
). If they can provide a decent lineup for it though...I'd really be set to jump ship to it...

Why are you going to spend that much? I don't see them releasing these for more than $200.Pichu wrote:My main gripe with this is that I gotta drop another $350-$400

Re: Yet another 3DS model announced - the NEW 3DS
I have a sneaking suspicion one of the reasons the buttons were changed and Z buttons were added was to bring the 3DS' controller interface up to parity for Virtual Console. It also gives it Classic Controller/Pro parity for Wii. I imagine Xenoblade Chronicles is coming out to test the waters for Wii ports.

I bet with games, and new acessories(if required or even amiibo if it's out) will add up to thatflex wood wrote:Why are you going to spend that much? I don't see them releasing these for more than $200.Pichu wrote:My main gripe with this is that I gotta drop another $350-$400
@crono I really wouldn't be surprised and wouldn't mind that at all ha ha

I doubt that amiibo thing will cost more than $50 and the characters are already said to be $13. The only game I know they've announced, xeno, is probably going to be $40. Maybe a new case which should be around $20. Absolutely all of this stuff is optional.darsparx wrote:I bet with games, and new acessories(if required or even amiibo if it's out) will add up to that
Unless of course he meant $350-400 over time than I can see that easily but I just can't fathom dropping that much on a handheld at once when it's backwards compatible.
I'm thinking if they come out here in the first half of the year I'll try to pick one up on black Friday since there should at least be a decent bundle/price drop then. If not I can definitely wait until there's a price I'm nice and comfy with paying, of course by then we could see the "newest"3ds releasing.

Sorry I wasn't clear, I collect Nintendo systems so I say that much for a New 3DS and an XL together. I was hoping the "sheep" line pointed to that.flex wood wrote:Why are you going to spend that much? Of course I could wait for sales or a few years down the line, but new prices I expect to match the Old models or be close.

Ah gotcha I can see that in your post somewhat now too.Pichu wrote:Sorry I wasn't clear, I collect Nintendo systems so I say that much for a New 3DS and an XL together. I was hoping the "sheep" line pointed to that.

This could be a great money maker for Nintendo if they drop the price of the old 3ds. I'm sure there's many people that haven't picked one up yet and a price drop would definitely move some units.
Re: Yet another 3DS model announced - the NEW 3DS
They probably will drop the price, I mean who wants to spend the same amount for an inferior model?
Though are the OG 3DS's phased out yet? I'd hate to see 5 different options on the market.
