I think it is mostly fair to compare launch games to launch games, and clearly the Xbox One can do much more and produce much nicer graphics than the last gen could at the start...I don't think it is a "small gap".
Granted, the last gen looked pretty nice at the end...but I'd expect the same to happen for the PS4 and Xbox One as well.

That is probably true, but basically this is how I see the "gaps" in graphics performance in these recent "generations" by distance. Just my own overall perceptions, and obviously on the closest groupings you can find games that are better on one platform or the other.

Unless you can't afford a decent PC, then it's back somewhere around DC area

Yeah, PC doesn't really fit on the scale but was attempting to preempt the inevitable "PC MASTER RACE" comment.
Whoo there. No way the Wii is more powerful than the original Xbox.
I'm not sure I agree that Nintendo needs to cut Wii U support as early as next year but I do think that this slight sales advantage over the Xbox One will be over come Christmas. All those Aaron Paul adverts will finally reap the benefit for Microsoft. "Ecks-Bowx On!"
I myself will be getting a Wii U at Xmas, though I couldn't imagine only owning a Wii U over the next gen. Having had an N64 and Gamecube during their respective lifetimes, the wait for something worth playing on them was unbearable. Lack of third party support.

No? I'm not sure, to be honest. That would be an example of a "grouping" where you can find titles that are stronger on one console or the other and the differences are more about optimization…

If any 360 games looked as good as the best first party PS3 games I'd agree. For corss-plats, usually the 360 is the way to go b/c they are better optimized. In sheer power, though, I believe the PS3 is stronger (if harder to work with).
