The thing about Alamo, and that add, is that it very, very well known for no phones and no talking. A lot of people misunderstand the rules of talking, because they simply say no talking. However, they are more lenient about it than they make out, as long as you don't disturb anyone its fine.
The phones piss me off though. You are at a movie, why the fuck are you using your phone.

I love going to the Alamo; it's where my boyfriend works, and it puts every other theater in town to shame. I'm really surprised that other theaters haven't adopted their business model with regards to ordering food in the theater.Forlorn Drifter wrote:The thing about Alamo, and that add, is that it very, very well known for no phones and no talking. It doesn't look like there are that many outside of Texas, but there's also Studio Movie Grill.lisalover1 wrote: I'm really surprised that other theaters haven't adopted their business model with regards to ordering food in the theater.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
there are a lot of theaters here in Michigan that have a variety of foods to choose,. ranging from pizza, hot dogs, steaks and many with bars that serve alcohol. it seems to be a lot more common now a days I think.Hobie-wan wrote:It doesn't look like there are that many outside of Texas, but there's also Studio Movie Grill.lisalover1 wrote: I'm really surprised that other theaters haven't adopted their business model with regards to ordering food in the theater.

I didn't even know there were theaters that didn't have food. Granted, I've only been to theaters around Chicago. Literally every theater I've been to throughout my life has served food beyond popcorn. The last one I was at had trays for your food built into the chairs.
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
How expensive is the food? Around here the concession prices have just gone crazy think a large popcorn cost as much as a regular admissions ticket now

Yep. If you want a large popcorn and a large drink you are looking at roughly $20Fragems wrote:How expensive is the food? Around here the concession prices have just gone crazy think a large popcorn cost as much as a regular admissions ticket now.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
It depends on the theater around here. Some are really expensive, but the last one I was at gave us free popcorn in cups about the size of large coke cups from a fast-food place because my girlfriend had a rewards card, which was also free. (Not a credit card or anything, just a card that tracks you're tickets and gives you points - a rewards program) The rest of the food looked to be about the prices you would expect at a fast-food place. The tickets were also only $5 per person or $8 for 3D movies. So this place was pretty cheap....but also had recliners as every seat. I was pretty damn impressed.Fragems wrote:How expensive is the food? Around here the concession prices have just gone crazy think a large popcorn cost as much as a regular admissions ticket now.
