Long story short, they overreacted and told him they were going to kick him out of the house by the end of the year. I think there are some other things going on between them, but it's a horrible turn of events. I'm trying to comfort him and help him find another place in town until then. If my parents weren't moving and if I wasn't heading out to school in 2 weeks, I would offer to let him stay over here.
That really sucks, pal :( Hope that things turn out all right for you and your boyfriend.
Yeah, same here. I really hate to see bad things happen to good folks. Is your boyfriend also in school?

Confused: Someone wants to hire me, but when I asked for a job description I got this email:

Luke, I am meeting with the *deleted* management staff tomorrow at noon for our weekly meeting. *Deleted* has been a very unorganized and inefficient company for a very long time. They have not had policies, job descriptions, audits, etc. You name it, they didn’t do it. I have just had employees write job descriptions for themselves for my review. I do not have one to send to you. I think we just need to sit down and talk about what we are trying to do and what and whom we need to get us there. If you are comfortable with that, I am going to talk to the general manager tomorrow about setting up a time for us to meet at *deleted*. We can tell you what the previous sales person did with the original company, but that isn’t necessarily what we need. We need some creative and motivated people to help us out! Are you still interested?

Told her I was interested, but that I need some clarification beyond "creative and motivated". I suggested we speak over the phone before I take a job that may require me to move.

It's a big no-no to talk turkey, but I don't know if this is even a salaried position and Daddy needs a new pair of shoes.

Smile: Had a great lunch and about to be off to the theater.
sounds like they need some skilled management to me. not what you applied for?
If you're just applying for a sales position then I'd steer clear based on what she's describing. If you're looking for some sort of management position in the sales department that'd be a different story.

TICKED OFF

Last night I was about to play Marvelous: Mouhitotsu no Takarajima via SNES9X for the first time, I was totally stoked. So I sat down at my gaming PC desk and broke a cardinal rule: Never put a drink on top of the desk. I'm supposed to put the drink on a nearby table away from all the electronics. This rule is in place because of what happened next; I reached behind the desk to plug in a USB controller into the desktop, and as I brought my arm back I caught the glass square with my elbow. Glass of course tipped over and spilled a bunch or cherry juice all over my desk. Juice seeped into the keyboard and that's annoying, but what royally pissed me off is most of the juice poured right inside my Razer Abyssus gaming mouse. It's a $50 mouse and it is now toast. Juice went all over the carpet too. Spent the rest of the evening cleaning up all the juice mess and doing carpet damage control, didn't get to play Marvelous.

Since I'm incapable of following my own rules, I ordered one of these so this travesty can't happen again.

Just do what I do and use your CD drive as a cup holder.

:P: Took more time then I expected to get this new 3TB hard drive up and running. Took a bios update, some fiddling with the SATA ports, and some troubleshooting with Disk Management and eventually Seagate Disc Wizard to get the whole drive to detect and format properly :P. Also cleaned the dust bunny army out of the case  .

:): Drives installed ended up having to split it up into a 2TB and 750GB partition but it seems to be doing just fine.

It'll probably fine if you open it up and give it a good cleaning.

I thought so too but it was powered up when splooshed and things shorted on the circuit board inside.
