The $200 refurbs come with Nintendo Land.

The combo disc from the NSMBU bundle is a lot cheaper outside of Gamestop (reduced priced on it too now, I think).

Huh didn't know that, damn shame it's a poor game unless you can play with others so mine just sits on the shelf 99% of the time. That's why I mentioned the mario+luigi bundle because I've seen it sell at $250, but if you were buying those two games anyway you can cut $90 off the price making the WiiU itself just $160 which is crazy.

So I was in Target (Canada) today and apparently they've lost their minds. Wii U games were on for $10! I'm talking quality, AAA titles here; Zelda, Mario, the works. Wii U nunchucks were $7, remotes were like half price and some 3DS games were also on for $10. I asked an employee about the sale and they said they didn't even know it was on. :?

Of course, none of the good titles were left. Everything had been cleaned out already. I'm sure it was all pilfered by local pickers or store staff on the first day. What's weird is that it's a non-advertised sale. Everyone would have had to of heard by word of mouth. I was assured that it's not a clearance sale, so stock should be replenished eventually.

I'll be checking in frequently to keep on top of this. I could certainly fill out my Wii U collection at those prices.

Well, I picked a Wii U yesterday. :D I posted a WTB thread yesterday at GameTZ and someone sold me their Deluxe Wii for $165 shipped. Sometimes impulse buying works out for the better. Now what games to get?

Do you like hack-n-slashing? If you like hack-n-slashes get The Wonderful 101 right away. Amazing.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution DC is the best console version and the gamepad is really great. Makes it the only console version worth playing in my opinion.

ZombiU uses the gamepad well and you'd probably like it if rogue-likes and first person Resident Evil sound good to you.

Mario 3D World is arguably the best 3D Mario game. NSMBU holds that title for the New series as well.

Pikmin 3 is delightful. Not sure what you'd call it. Time management action RTS?

I was debating between Pikmin and and Wonderful 101. MK8 is a one I'm getting for sure though. I'm also looking at DK or NSMB.

DK: Tropical Freeze is, in my opinion, the best 2D platformer to come out in ages. Easily better than the new Rayman games. Some people don't like the way DK controls though.

What I have played of Tropical Freeze they looked at the problem with some of the stage design and physics/control of the Wii/3DS game and improved it, but i'll be honest I've only done maybe 15% of the game or so. I really just don't use the WiiU much, mostly just lack of motivation and forget to and not being turned off.

On that note I'm considering scooping up the old Assassins Creed 3 for it just to give the series one last try. I figure if the American Revolution couldn't keep my interest none of it will.
