Can you use them on PC by the way? Since they're like an awesome evolved SNES controller, would be great for emulation. Though I can easily say my precision in platforming isn't quite as good compared to the real SNES controllers.

Yes

Get that, use it along with a PS3 controller too as your bluetooth controller of choice on your computer.

That WiiU update is kind of cute since it serves no purpose other than buying 2 WiiU's and swapping data, anything 'bad' to one system where the data can't be touched (broken, theft, etc) you're screwed still since they won't tie the data to the accounts entirely still so you can just login/download like on PSN. The Wii controller as a mouse is nice though.

I really need to take the literal layer of dust off my system and controller and start using it again. I'm just so so down on the thing because no one seems to want to make games for it other than Nintendo worth buying I just don't think to use it and stick with my GBA and Retron5 (3DS too) lately. Personally I'm selling my small but good PS2 collection off now, may as well do the PS3 games too, and see what else I can care to lose and snap up a PS4 as it has finally some nice stuff worth messing with to keep me busy. :(

Right, it still isn't as good as an account system. But it's still a welcomed addition. At least people who own the Basic set and might want to upgrade to a Deluxe set can transfer all their stuff.

assuming they own both systems in working condition at the same time at some point

It's long been a really, really stupid way to do a transfer. I'd wager 80% of people or more that get a second Wii U want to either A) trade in their basic one first or B) have a busted one that needs repaired/replaced.

I got a 3DS XL last year barely used by a local, pissed me off because I had to temporarily charge something to get the dough wrangled up to get it because I couldn't sell the 3DS off first to cover it because of Nintendo's brainless policy. I wasn't about to lose my ambassador freebies.

Yes, I said that already.

Now all I want them to patch is the gamepad. If you turn the system on with a wii remote there shouldn't be any reason for the gamepad to boot up.

Edit: hold on... You still have to use the gamepad to change system settings. Patch that out too.

You can't, no. It's a different device, which the Wii ROM does not have integrated support for.

I got an early birthday present 8)

So, picked up Kart, of course, and ended up going with the NSMBU bundle. For a third game, I grabbed a used copy of Black Flag, just to push the system in a more modern way.

Well... I'm not sure I'll keep Black Flag. Its used, so I have a few days to decide. Wondering what other suggestions you guys might have? Looking at ZombieU, Deus Ex, something to just look nice in a more modern way, since I like to push a console in every direction when first getting it. If all else fails, I'll just grab MonHun and keep playing that.

Loving this thing so far. Mario Kart is wonderful.
