How long of a distance?

Not to tout, but in college I dated a model who lived 250 miles away. We lasted almost two years, but it sucked mega balls. It was meet up, do it, goodbye. And when we were apart, we were both miserable. We talked a lot. A lot. Sent cards, hand written love letters, but not being able to be together stunk skunk.

But that was my situation. Yours could be totally different and work out.

BUT! I will say I really wish we had an "open relationship" as I turned down some *ahem* opportunities. And I was in college, so I was tied down when I shouldn't have been. Had a sweet little number even tell me "I'll be sitting on your cute dimples by the end of the night" and was all "welllllll....I have a girlfriend....." so yeah, lots of missed fun.

Sounds rude, but you might want to think it over.
'bout 200 miles. With a country border. I mean, Canada, but still. We're a little over 1 year and going strong, just the last month I thought there was something up because we went from talking every couple days to silence, because she's been dealing with nonsense at home, trying to find a new place to live and such. Silly roommate issues. Glad I got along well with mine when I still had them.

For me, open relationship wouldn't really be an option. I'm very much a one-woman guy, always have been. My longing isn't necessarily for the sex (though it's amazing sex) when we're apart, it's for the company and fun and such. Great girl.

Of course, if I WAS younger still, then I might be thinking the same way you were while in college

In that case I would say commit or move on. I know that sounds blunt and callous, but I am blunt am callous.

There's no waiting in love. Go for it or don't.

Either way, I wish you the best.

Appreciated. I'm certainly all for the commit aspect. Biggest problem with that is we both have a sick parent, so while love is a many splendored thing, filial love is currently trumping on both our parts. As such, we make do as best we can. USUALLY, it's roughly every other weekend together, it's just the last month and a half or so where that hasn't happened.

If I didn't love driving so much (no blue-text there, I really do, always have), it probably would have crumbled by now. But I do, and she's the most compatible woman I've ever dated, so I'm sticking around still.

The advice and well wishes are appreciated though, like I say.

:( Spent the last 6 months job hunting and have come up all zeroes. It is frustrating to be able to type at 95 wpm (although my best test was at 102) and not able to get a stinking data entry job. I have plunked down roughly 300 applications and they won't take me because I do not have 4 years experience. Some companies even boot you out the moment they find out you don't have any previous experience.

So I had to settle and go into retail again. Applied to 15 different retail outlets and got 2 replies. Took one and I started my first real day today. Grocery store... had me on a register outside of my department (will for this whole week). Spent 7 hours at the check out line and every inch of my body is in PAIN. Back, hips, knees, ankles, wrists, arms...everything. Ugh... what is worse is that since they loved my work and quick ability to pick up the task, they have scheduled me a TON. ugh. Still gonna keep an eye out for other jobs.

Yeah not going to lie, the grocery business sucks and it's a dirty job but someone has to do it. Especially since it's fast paced no matter what department you're in...hope you end up finding something else though(I know I'm stuck though until I finish school though and maybe beyond that :? ). But I can say this: if you were looking to loose some weight like I was, as long as you're careful you'll loose a ton

 : Overall shitty day.

Brother had a party last night which got completely out of hand. What was supposed to be 3-4 of his friends coming over to hang out turned into 7-8 people bing drinking to the point that we had to keep them over night and they threw up all over the house :x . Needless to say this is the dumbest freaking thing my brother has ever done and I have lost a lot of respect for him.

After getting all that cleaned up my dad got home and my mom got into an argument with him. Like an asshole he drained all of the money out of their joint account last week before going on a five day motorcycle trip with his buddies. To make matters even worse that is the account we pay bills out of and my mom most likely overdrew the account last week :P.

He's not talking about doing a resume consultation. He's offering to print off your resume and then put his fist through it.
