Our state is cool. Funny story about that, my wife was challenging a ticket for slipping on ice and landing in a ditch (with about 4 other cars) that the cop said, "Challenge it, I will not show up." She did and I was with her. A woman was challenging a ticket that a policeman DID show up for and the woman went ballistic about police brutality, stating that, "He is battering me with his LIES your honor! My son served in afghanistan and this is how you repay him!" After she was told to pay the ticket, she confronted the cop in the waiting room and again said the whole afghanistan thing and then slapped the cop. Out came the handcuffs. Crazy lady.
