So, just dug out my model 1 Sega CD and can only find the power adapter that came with it. I assume it has more cords, but is it possible for it to run a/v through the Genesis instead?

yeah the AV runs through the genesis, all you need is the a/c adapter

You can, but the Genesis audio (at least) will be mono, if you're using an (unmodded) Genesis 1 on it. The A/V ports on the Sega CD are just stereo audio out (the RCA jacks) and a 1/8" stereo input, allowing you to run a cable from the headphone jack on the front of a Genesis 1 (where it does output stereo) to get passed through to the RCA jacks.

Thanks :D

Edit:

Does anyone know what a good selling price for this would be? It's in good shape and works well, and Ebay doesn't really have many completed listings without the box/Genesis/additional games included. I was thinking 60.

So glad the n64 power adapter finally came in(already got the expansion pak a few days ago). Good thing snes cord works with n64. Would be great if I could somehow keep this original copy of dk64 and maybe somehow transfer give my dad a copy in the future somehow  oh well maybe end of the month once I recover from getting my car worked on

60 bucks for a working model one Sega CD? I would think 60 would be a steal. If I am wrong someone please correct me. I would buy it at that price but I do not need another Sega CD LOL.

I thought model 2's were typically around $60 and model 1's were pricier? I have no idea.

Ehh I am finding them between 50-70. I think I paid 50-60 for mine a year or 2 ago.

Heh seems like model 1 and 2 are closer in price than I thought.

I've actually never seen a model 1.

I should just keep my Sega CD hooked up all the time. It's a pretty cool system.
