What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Exactly. If you know "East, West, North, South" and can count, Chicago is easy to navigate.

Like what? Getting hair plugs?

Rogaine and such only works for the back of your scalp. It doesn't work on the Eddie Munster stuff.

On the hair front, you should be lucky that you are losing hair in a natural and considered attractive style. I don't get the widow's peak and instead recede my hair in a straight line across my head.

And I also have a drooling bald spot on the back of my head...it's gross....like all my hair slowly slid down my back.

Now I'm sad :(

The hormone therapy i'm getting soon for the gender transition stuff stops hair loss dead. T-blockers and all that (balding is caused by testosterone).

'course that + the estrogen does a lot of other stuff that I don't think most balding dudes would be cool with...

Related story, kinda:

One of my best friends in high school was a guy named Chris Autin, who was nicknamed Chris Autism because the guy was so hopped up that only a select few could understand him. I was one of the select. The guy spoke a completely different language, and I am not exaggerating at all.

"Mannnn. I slipped popped the doo doo wall break neck style. Disco ball" = He went skateboarding. Don't think he ever created a coherent sentence.

He also weighed around 135 lbs, and was lanky like me, but was fearless.

So, building a bridge here about the back hair.

One night we were at a party and out of no where this kid Michael Brass shows up.

"Brass Knuckles" was known for starting fights, as he was, well, he was a dick. He was easily 6'3, 240 lbs. White dude, but loved him some FUBU and Cross Colors. Weird dude too as he hated black people, but tried to be as street as possible. Just imagine a huge dude in fubu, blonde hair with a fade and a flat top, black glasses.

I walk into a room and Chris says something, who knows what, that Brass didn't like. Brass said "I'm going to kick your skinny ass white boy" and got ALL up in his face.

I thought Chris was about to be pummeled to pulp.

Chris says, "Mannnnn. I shave yo mama's back", jumped, punched Brass square in the right temple, breaking Brass's glasses in the process.

"Brass knuckles" cried. He cried and yelled "You broke my glasses!" and ran out.

Everyone, and I mean everyone, at the party was wide eyed and shocked, bewildered, bemused...but happy. Stoned David had just beaten mighty Goliath.

And how did Chris react?

He looked at me and said "I think Tick Tock, Tick Tock".

I knew exactly what he meant.

So yeah.

"I shave yo mama's back" ties back to your back hair. But anytime I hear the words "back hair" I can't help but think about that moment. That, and "I shave yo mama's back", so far, is the coolest thing I've heard to say before kicking someone's ass.

It makes no sense, but if you new Chris, it would.

Luke that is hilarious and insane! The stories I hear from you seem stranger than fiction, but I know for a fact, that life truly is!

:D My 11 year-old Brother-in-law is coming over tomorrow to pick up his cleaned up and functioning N64 tomorrow and is hanging out to play games. He is super excited to play Star Fox 64, Pokemon Stadium and Mario Tennis. He told me he is going to keep an eye out for a copy of Banjo Kazooie to buy. Brings a smile to my face to see a kid appreciating the older generations of games.

Also am passing the torch and giving him the Elder Scrolls: Morrowind (I have like 10 copies from various places) to feed his curious mind. He has been asking for a lot of sandbox/open-ended games, only to find the ones he is interested in are far too inappropriate for his age range (Grand Theft Auto, Watch Dogs, etc.) so I thought that Morrowind would be a good place to get him started, not too violent, very little sexuality aside from a VERY tame medieval brothel that has no nudity or sex in it and the violence has consequences if you try and kill innocent people.

Can't wait to see what he thinks!

Kind of a sad experience for me this past Sunday. :(

I had deliberately been avoiding the local flea market for the past couple of months in order to preserve money for garage sales and other non-gaming related summer type stuff. On the way home from a friends house on Sunday morning I decided to stop in at said market, if for nothing else, just to say a quick hello to a seller that I have been going to for the last few years; a younger dude, who always treated me well and extended me great deals. This guy had the only booth at the market that charged flat rate prices when I started getting into the retro game hobby, which kept me interested in going back every weekend. I nabbed quite a few gems from him over the years. His prices did eventually get to FMV, but he was always fair and gave decent trade values.

My last time at the market, roughly 2 months ago, I was trying to trade in some AAA Wii titles to this guy and he said he could no longer take in trades, which was weird as he was always after good titles for any system. I asked if everything was going okay and he instantly, and kind of rudely, shrugged me off. I simply passed it off as him having a bad day and left but couldn't ignore the sinking feeling that something was off and that his time there may be numbered.

Fast forward to this past Sunday, his booth was long gone, already replaced by a craft seller. I'm guessing he knew he was done and just didn't want to admit it. I don't know why it's affecting me so much but I'm assuming it has to do with him being the one seller that really kept me going to the market these past years. I pretty much started my collection with him. Now, the market is full of nothing but (ebay + shipping) sellers. It's the end of an era for me, I guess. I don't think I'll be going back there for quite some time.

Don't really know why I posted this, just felt kinda sad and wanted to share. :(

Coffee spiked with Red Bull. Sort of this millennium's take on Irish Coffee.
