Finished Metroid: Other M today...so disappointed.
Looks like another entry for the "These games were foolishly played anyway, so the player learned their lesson the hard way" section of the Wall of Shame!

Games are meant to be played, bad or not, and I wanted to judge the game for myself. I don't regret it, even though it's probably the lowest point in the series.

Would you at least concur at this point that it isn't (and won't be) a classic? That's my criteria for putting a game on the list, not whether I personally find it to be good or bad.

I consider it a flop, so yes, it's destined for the midden heap. The whole thing just seems...inappropriate. Why Nintendo? Why?

So...Silent Hill 3 is really good, definitely can see why this one gets the respect it does. I'm not sure how it's going to stack up against Silent Hill 2, which I consider a masterpiece in survival horror, but I'm pretty optimistic so far.

Alright, I think this is the best time for me to do it. I'm only going to pick five games for myself though...

1. Cave Story
2. Illusion of Gaia
3. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
4. Odin Sphere
5. Demon's Crest

I'll play these while also bouncing between Dark Souls 2 and South Park: The Stick of Truth, which I'm already doing. Let's see how well this goes...

Thanks, I love the game so far, but I'm not too far into it. We'll see how it goes.

Is there one of those huge difficulty spikes at the last boss? That shit got pulled in a Legend of Heroes game I played last year. Wanted to throw my PSP across the room.
