Pretty much.
The ladys love me.
Is there a version of Ys you haven't played
Well now i feel old....I just had one of those moments where I thought, "Man I didn't have any movies as a kid". Just searched through the garage and tv cabinet in the living room and found at least 3 stacks of vhs's(where we've gotten rid the player for a long time ago)....now I wonder if they even work. I'd hate to just trash them if i could find a cheap vhs player. Anyone think it would be worth it to get another vhs player, since most have sat unused for at least 5+ years if not more?

If what you have in the pile is readily available on DVD, Blu-ray, or even streaming, then probably not. Which is not to say that having a VCR can't be worthwhile in general. There's content out there on VHS that was never put on DVD, just like there's DVD content that'll never be put on Blu-ray.
I know that the great majority of VHS tapes my parents have/had hanging around aren't like that though.
Well I'm kinda scared to see how much of this is on dvd or otherwise. I think looking at it there has to be at least 50 or more vhs's that I found.... and that was only the stuff I deemed as I actually wanted it and hope mom doesn't freak out that I dug it out
which reminds me I had movies I didn't even remember having like
That one i remember going into cd warehouse(which I hope hasn't gone under) and grabbing with my dad for $6. I miss those days when we went and got movies and games like that....cd warehouse was great for cheap games and movies every once in awhile(like manifest too)... I wonder which others i just happen to have *gulp*

That one has been released on DVD twice, but out of print, and the U.S. has yet to get a Blu-ray release (there are region free versions that can be imported). It's a tad pricey as a result. Since it was originally framed for 4:3 (widescreen versions are the cropped ones), the VHS isn't missing anything.
Most theatrical releases on VHS are "formatted to fit this screen". I remember having to go to Suncoast or something to find widescreen edition VHS tapes, where (most) DVDs are widescreen or include both widescreen and fullscreen.
Well the only reason I was thinking about a VHS player is because something in me tells me they'd look great on the CRT when I'm not playing games or working....heck if my grandmothers still have theirs I might be able to see about getting those. I just don't like the idea of repurchasing movies I already own(and I apparently have a ton when you include the fact I do have quite a few DVDs too somehow)
