I think Japan will kick our asses today. There's been a lot of infighting on the team the last few days, and it doesn't help that the coach thought it was a good idea to bring a bunch of legacy players just because it's their last cup with the national team.

Very disappointed. Uruguay improved after their mauling by Costa Rica but fucking hell can England ever actually exploit another team's weaknesses? Godin gets booked early, then should go off but they don't work him again? Get at him and get him sent off! At least give him something to worry about.

Gotta say though, that Gerrard/Suarez link up was world class. Great play. Gerrard has really made costing his team everything into an art form.

You know what, the sad part is that England did not play badly. They were pretty good, actually, and were pressing when they suffered the second goal.
