There's a small place called Herfy Burgers across the street from my work. Every day I get the 5 piece chicken strips that come with the tasty accordian cut fries. Delicious.

I love fast-food. Wendy's is the top among the Big 3. Then Bk, then Mcdonalds. Now Mikey Dees may be the dregs of FF quality; but a double cheese with tomato, subustite(sp) onions, leaf lettece and big mac sauce; is savory and cheap!. And for the alternative niche markets; Checkers! No competition there, and let's not forget Hardees.
You know that story, about how NASA spent millions of dollars developing this pen that writes in Zero G? Did you ever read that?
You know how the Russians solved the problem?
They used a pencil.

Steak n' Shake!

I am not much of a fast food guy, I usually avoid it and eat a better meal at home. but when I see a Steak n' Shake I just need to grab a double cheeseburger and a big plate of fries. its so good....oh god....the cravings! they are taking over!!

I second that. Whenever I get into the midwest to visit relatives I always make sure I drop by. It really makes me mad that there are none here in Colorado :x

You American guys have a crazy range of fast-food outlets, I haven't heard of half of the ones you've listed so far. All we've got over here is KFC, Burger King, McDonald's & Wimpy.

My favourite is personally KFC, I just love Zinger burgers, those new Hot Rod things they do and their original recipe chicken. Burger King isn't too bad, but the BK's near me is terrible - last time I went there I got a Bacon Double Cheeseburger and it was the sloppiest, greasiest burger i've ever had the misfourtune to eat. McDonald's is just foul, although their Chicken Select things are pretty nice, the burgers taste wrong and I always end up hungry again about half-hour after eating McDonald's. Wimpy is crap over here and doesn't really count as fast-food as you have to wait a freaking age for your food to turn up, plus it's inordinantly expensive.

Also, my local chip shop Pisces is freaking awesome, great chips, nice fish & brilliant greek-style ribs. Special mention for Q-Burger in France, whenever i'm across the channel I always make a point to pick up a Q-Burger as it's easily the best fast-food burger i've ever had.

I stopping eating fast food after reading Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All-American Meal by Eric Schlosser. I good read if you are interested in learning more about fast food culture and how it effects society. Here is an excerpt on Why McDonald's Fries Taste So Good http://www.rense.com/general7/whyy.htm Not to take away from anyone's enjoyment...
