Ok I love RTS. Aeons ago I played a demo of Pharaoh. Now its on sale on GOG. I found Zeus+Poseidon, a game I never heard of.
i would like to her your opinion about the game if it is wroth while or is it Pharaohs with a different theme? I am trying to play different games than "more of the same thing" due to limited time in my life.
1)What do you think of Pharaoh? And how would you compare it to Caesar 3(Another game I never heard of) When I asked about the best RTS on an other thread I dont believe any one mentioned this game. I remember it was amazing.
2) Would I be fine playing an RTS on a 13inch laptop?

Re: Question on Zeus+poseidon
The thing is these games are not RTS games. They are city builders. Quite good ones at that. I've read online that Zeus is a bit easier to get into than Pharaoh. I used to have Pharaoh and loved it. Imo both games are worth their money. Just choose which setting you prefer (Greece or Egypt) and buy that game.

Re: Question on Zeus+poseidon
I remember playing Pharaoh back in the day, it was very fun. I don't remember much about Caesar III and IV but it was released later and it was probably was better or as good. It's a good game, probably nothing amazing but there are very few building games out there so good is worthwhile.
Zeus and Poseidon were released later so you may want those iterations instead, I never played them.

Re: Question on Zeus+poseidon
So...
I decided to quit this game (Pharaoh) , its fun but things in this game do not add up right. I think it might be broken. I got a full neighbourhood surrounded with bazaars and the houses are still refusing to develop because "there is NO food from the bazaars" . Unlike SimCity where you can build you own design, this game looks like it has only 1 way of building a city. If you go too far away from the exact stats the developers wants, you won't pass the level.
Any way, I still want to play Zeus and Poseidon but is it Pharaoh with a different skin? Or does it give the freedom of building your own city?

probably the food's salesman isn't passing by your houses. Use roadblocks to make him follow a certain path that covers all houses (add more bazaars where needed).
yes zeus is just a re-skin with barely different gameplay. good enough for fans of the genre, but not for people who didn't like it in the first place.
