Hang in here with me...
I've been getting my hair cut by the same lady since Steve Logan coached the ECU Pirates. She always gives me a head, neck, and shoulder massage, but she gave me a deep tissue massage yesterday and it was heavenly. I was on cloud nine when I left. Possibly cloud ten.
She's Korean, and her Sister was around and said "You give him Happy Ending for big tip!". I-Yang, my stylist, didn't know what a happy ending was, but her Sister was very blunt in telling her what it meant. I-Yang said "That's what happy ending is? I've had people ask if I do happy ending and I never knew they were being perverts. Why would they think I'm a slut? That's very insulting".
I told her the next time someone asked for a "happy ending" she should immediately shave off one of their eye brows and ask "happy now?", and if the customer gets upset say "That's Korean happy ending". We had a good laugh at that.
Another smile: Going suit shopping later today, which means today I'll be wearing jeans (with a cuff and a crease, of course), a t-shirt, and black adidas hi-tops. Wearing a suit and tie to try on suits and ties is a waste of time.
Yeah buddy: One of my clients works with my favorite restaurant, so I got free sushi, including sea urchin (one of my favorite things ever). The client is almost a mirror image of me, but a woman...but she has tattoos...that's why I said "almost". She's a knockout: aggressive, polite, intelligent, well dressed, all about business, has a lust for life, and is a skinny ball of energy. Someone I'm so very happy to work with.
She's only been with the company for three weeks, and I've been with my new company for six weeks so we have a lot of common. I'll be introducing her to the chamber of commerce peeps and the "business after hours" parties, among other things, which she is really excited about.
And here is a tip for anyone in sales. What you are selling is tertiary. Sure, what you are selling makes you the money, but first you need to interview the customer and build a relationship. My philosophy to being successful in sales has always been not to sell, but to help. "What can I do to make your life easier?", when said with true sincerity, opens a lot of doors.

Even better, he said bring in as many games as I want and he'll do them all. I'll have to buy him a drink next time we're at the pub. It's great that there is an option out there for disks that haven't come from such loving homes.

I like how this woman who is a "mirror image" of Luke is also "a knockout."

I would be incredibly disappointed if Luke didn't have at least a LITTLE bit of a narcissistic streak.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I like how this woman who is a "mirror image" of Luke is also "a knockout."

Bone, we all know I'm a good looking guy with chiseled features with a boyish figure.
Don't we?

You wouldn't be disappointed.
Don't be misconstrued, as I am actually very humble and am always the first person to lend a helping hand...But...I do have a lot to offer. It's my choice of words that kicks me in the butt and makes people think I'm arrogant. I struggle with getting my point across with some, but not all, people.
I really have a difficult time of getting people to listen to me because I'm so energetic and enthusiastic and "my vibe" rubs some people the wrong way. I try to be as polite as possible and phrase things as "You know what might be a great idea?...etc" but some take that as "You trying to tell me how to do my job?".
And yeah, when people won't even listen I do get physically angry. Working on that as getting angry doesn't help anything. At the same time physical confrontations are a big stress reliever for me, and if someone is being a jerk, I don't mind standing up for those who don't or can't stand up for themselves. Another BUT!
My wife reminds me, "One day you'll confront someone who will kill you. You are risking your life over someone parking illegally in a handicap spot. Is that worth losing your life over?"
Where I'm at is that I don't want to see some jerk to something jerky, and think "I should have done something" if I didn't do anything. I need to be more mindful of consequences, but at the same time I feel that it is my duty to let people know when they are being assholes.

Hopefully when this eventually happens the guy has an ironic streak and just leaves you crippled instead of killing you.Luke wrote:My wife reminds me, "One day you'll confront someone who will kill you.
