Yeah, I had the adrenaline jitters for a bit afterwards. The driver of the car I was in was the most frazzled of us all. I guess cause it was 100% his fault, and it was the company's car.

Actually, just the other week I almost had a similar scenario. It was stop and go, I was keeping safe distance of the car in front of me. There were a half dozen or so people on an overpass holding up signs and I was distracted by it. And just then, yeah, traffic slowed almost to a stop in front of me and I was still doing a decent speed. I was able to stop in more than enough time, without having to lock them up or anything, but it was still closer than you'd wanna come.
What was funny is the reason I was distracted by them was because I saw them and thought, "That's fucking great. Tail end of rush hour traffic and you're up there distracting everybody!" Then after they almost caused me to crash, it made me furious. I spent the next 5 minutes day dreaming about calling the cops on them.
