I suppose they're generic in the "wow look another Mario game" sense, but I find them to be very well-constructed with perfect controls and fun levels. I still find the Wii game to be the best of the "New" Mario titles though.
And floaty and uninspired? I thought we were talking about Mario not Sonic.

I played it next to DKCR and yeah, the physics feel a bit odd but you get used to it.dsheinem wrote:How so? I haven't been able to get into any of the NSMB games yet, despite trying all of them (I don't think I've finished one). I figured that this one was, perhaps, the one to lure me in. I never really cared for any of the other NSMB games, but dug this one. Still nothing compared to the NES/SNES games to me though. These always feel like they're trying to go back to something more like the original Super, but I wish they'd do something more in the vein of SMB3 or SMW again.
But yeah it's good. Still just a fraction of 3D World's awesomeness though.

Mario Kart 8 Gets Licensed Mercedes Benz DLC For Wii U
I like this idea, I certainly thing Nintendo should do more of this new ideas thing instead of just rinse-repeat. Maybe it will get exciting and all car manufacturers want in, this could provide new revenue stream for Nintendo by selling manufacturers cars as an ad, and they can sell it as a DLC for players. Profit both ways.
Such DLC is much more worthy than selling attires like hats and shoes in DLC.

They could always go for upper and lower caseMrPopo wrote: No, I'm saying that first they used up all the Latin characters for stuff, then they added all the Greek characters, and those have clearly all been used. The next logical character set to go to would be the Cyrillic one.

I'm sure it has been covered but I'm right at first stages post game for 3d World and it keeps freezing where I need to hold the power button down for 4 seconds. It was a problem dealing with Miiverse from launch but after I killed the Internet access and blocked Miiverse via parental controls it still freezes.
In any event for $47 on amazon I picked up Deus Ex, Batman Arkham City, and Mass Effect 3.

NSMBU ain't bad I guess, and if it were the ONLY game in that series I'd probably dig it a bit more.
3D World is where it's really out.

Oh man, MK8 is gorgeous. Totally geeking out over how great it looks, and it seems to play pretty well too. Feeling much better about my Wii U purchase today

*hold your tomatos*
So Mario Kart 8 is out today? As in I can go to Target after work and grab it...or will I have needed to pre-order or something?

Any big box store should have extras. Gamestores would be more difficult to get a copy in. I was planning on hitting a Walmart myself - mostly because I need more of my tea.
