Re: What are you playing?
Just started playing The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks for the immortal DS. Here's hoping it turns out better than Phantom Hourglass did. I don't mind the trains all toot toot 'n' shit.

Played these both last year. I thought ST was better than PH, but it still felt a little flat to me. These were the only two Zelda games I've ever had to force myself to finish.Exhuminator wrote:Just started playing The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks for the immortal DS. For such a great system, the DS really didn't handle the Zelda games all that well, IMHO.

Close to finish the elite 4 on pokemon Y, just grinding a bit until i can get flamethrower MT.
I didn't enjoy a pokemon game this much since gen 3, rubi and saphire.

So far as of right now it's been a mix of final fantasy I 20th anniversary, and watch dogs. I guess because I haven't played long I don't see all the bugs(and I don't intend to seek them out....it's a lot more fun that way)

It's a visual novel with the gameplay sections being more of an adventure game with puzzles so lotw of reading is required of course. The sequel has voice acting and uses 3D animated models (though I prefer the 2D look honestly). There is music, you must just be at a part where things are quiet idunno.Snatch1414 wrote: Bought this game and played it for about a half hour. Saved the game in the middle of a bunch of text and.......well I hope it gets better. I enjoy puzzles and I enjoy point and click games, but the production values so far are pretty crappy. I don't mind a lot of talking and text, but with no music, no fast forwarding the scrolling text, and next to zero animation? That's something different. Just sitting there in silence looking at stills while the text scrolls a little too slowly puts me to sleep.
Again, very early first impressions, but so far this seems like if Atlus wanted to make "Escape The Room" for the DS and only had 3 months to make it.
ATLUS has nothing to do with this game either.
Also you can fast forward once you replay a section. The game is built around multiple playthroughs (you'll see why eventually =] ) and you skip through dialogue all the way until a decision has to be made or something new is said.

Re: What are you playing?
I tend to play games from 10pm-1am, so I'm already pretty tired by then. Once in a while, I will fall asleep playing a game, but that's pretty rare. EXCEPT when I was playing 999. I feel asleep nearly every time I played it, because it's boring as hell. I'm not even going to be nice about it. A "suspense drama" should keep you awake, but not that one.Snatch1414 wrote:Just sitting there in silence looking at stills while the text scrolls a little too slowly puts me to sleep.
I know the game has its fans, and that's good for them. Personally I found it to be one of the most (if not THE most) overrated games I've ever played. I even bothered to get the True Ending because of the supposed "mind blowing twist"... which turned out to be hinged on a completely illogical time paradox, one that makes absolutely zero sense if you bother to think it through.
999 is a good game in concept, but a pretty terrible one in execution.
I finished Phantom Hourglass a few years back. I enjoyed parts of it alright, but that Temple Of The Ocean King was never a good idea. Other than that, the rest was pretty fun I thought. Thus far Spirit Tracks seems a step up in all regards though.vatermuzik wrote:Played these both last year. I thought ST was better than PH, but it still felt a little flat to me. Re: What are you playing?
Just started Wolfenstein (PS4) last night.
Still going through RE4 (PS2). I don't know how I never got into this game before....it's a GREAT game.
I have put Dragon's Crown (Vita) on hold. I have fallen asleep 3 times playing that game. Just boring and not interesting to me.

Re: What are you playing?
Well 999 kept me playing for hours so Idk what to say. My 3DS says I spent an average of 3 hours per sitting so at least I was hooked. *shrug*

Re: What are you playing?
Beat the Conjurer story line in Nox last night and the base game of Dungeon Defenders on normal with three other players - both on the PC.
Started up Field Runners 2 on both PC and Android which is just a standard fair tower defense, and Chu Chu Rocket on Android. It has been a solid 10 years since I beat Chu Chu Rocket last, so I look forward to besting these puzzles.
