Now now, he's a liberal arts professor. Don't be bringing in all those mathematical symbols.

the funny thing was that all but 2 of those letters are actually used in math  (is δ used too by any chance? I don't remember)

I'm trying to figure out what the other one you don't think is used in math is. So far every one I've tried that I didn't already know was is used.

A lot of those things I didn't think about having to look up in my research. I bought it for the games that looked fun - I didn't expect the overall interface to be WORSE than the Wii and the setup to be more of a pain than the PS3/360/ PS4/Xbox One

ah fuck yeah, upper case delta

I was talking about ita/eta ( Η , η ) but then a wikipedia search showed it's also used somewhere

.....don't judge me, I studied IT a science that was established during the era where English is the dominant language

My CS degree was under the school of engineering, so I got deep into calculus and modern physics. I'm surprised that they haven't dipped into Cyrillic characters to represent variables and functions yet.

You dish on the Wii U, we hate you, you buy 1 to support Nintendo (unlike most people, even here), we still hate you.....there's no winning with us

I'd kind of agree, though more in the sense that the game is terrible at demonstrating the system. It's a solid 2D Mario game though, and I don't think the download includes Luigi U.

Gamestop sells that disc used for $69.99 for whatever reason, so if nothing else their trade-in might be decent. Or it could be a foreshadowing of the definitive/collectible version of the game down the line (if you care).
-Also, I can't use my Wii Classic Controller Pro in NSMBWU as far as I can tell (and I have tried). I don't like playing with the giant gamepad, especially since it just reproduces what is on the screen (needlessly at that). I don't like playing with the Wiimote since I need to use more than 2 buttons and a D-pad. Guess I need the Wii U Pro controller. :(
For whatever reason I thought they patched that in. Turns out, it was the Pro Controller support they added.
There is an extended battery for the Gamepad you can get too, as an option.
-At least in my house, remote play with Vita works better (and further) than remote play with Wii U, whose range is very limited. The PS4 and Wii U are next to one another and on the same network, but the Vita trumps easily.
I've only tried PS3/PSP remote play, but yeah, same kind of thing for me. The Wii U can't quite reach far enough for the feature to be useful in my house.
-MK8 and Super Mario 3D better be fucking awesome, or I am gonna have buyer's remorse really, really quick :x
If nothing else, 3D World feels like it's mildly taxing the system, and has a bit more variety to it  Though, it will force you to swap back to the Gamepad for Captain Toad levels.

No, I'm saying that first they used up all the Latin characters for stuff, then they added all the Greek characters, and those have clearly all been used. The next logical character set to go to would be the Cyrillic one.

How so? I haven't been able to get into any of the NSMB games yet, despite trying all of them (I don't think I've finished one). I figured that this one was, perhaps, the one to lure me in. It feels floaty and uninspired, at least so far.
