Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I went a little crazy at "Hard-Off" in Japan.
All the games were about 110 cents, a couple were about $3
Perfectly working Saturn with some battle damage: $3.20
Controller: $3.20
Saturn Guns: $3.20 each
NiGHTS and Space Channel 5 books: $1.10 each
VMUS: $1.10 each
Super Gameboy: $1.10
I might just go all out and get 4 more VMUS

Edit: Seriously it's like heaven

Wow! Nice prices. The BookOffs here have those same tubs, but behind the counter. They are used for games and systems not tested yet. That is a huge aisle, is it on the sales floor? If it is, weird they do not have regular shelves for displayingn the products.BumbleChump wrote:I went a little crazy at "Hard-Off" in Japan.

After seeing so many pics like this of game stores in Japan, I would love to take a trip to Japan just for that.BumbleChump wrote:

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
The Hard Off that I hit outside Kyoto when I was there, the nice (like new and pricey) stuff was on shelves at the front of the store. The less valuable and 'junk' (still miles better than dirty broken flea market and pawn stuff) was towards the back in the blue bins. I had to control myself otherwise I would have filled up my luggage with hardware there and not left any room for the stuff that was specifically on my shopping list that I found in Tokyo.CRTGAMER wrote:Wow! Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I've noticed that the farther from Toyko you go, the better the Hard Offs are. There aren't as many people picking through games in rural areas. The one I posted was the biggest one with the most stuff. I went to two others and they had like a third of the games/hardware.
Oh and one more (for now). This was $3. The bottom number (300) is supposed to be the base price, and the top number (1260) is supposed to be the total price with tax. 300 with tax comes out to 324, not 1260. The cashier said it was confusing so he made it 324 yen. Wee!

Are the Naomi games any better or worse than the Dreamcast version or are they exactly the same? IIRC Soul Calibur was supposed to be BETTER than the arcade.
Do the Japanese games have an English option to them? I know N64 games had this menu that popped up when you insert that game and asks you which language you want in the PAL regions.
