Trying to finish FF iii on DS.......

Came to my 4th boss before the Cloud of Darkness final boss (Cerberus i think) and died! He killed my white Mage with three straight physicals in one turn and after that it was good night.

3 hours since my last save point and I was so mad, I just laughed and went to bed in a daze! I now understand why people dislike this remake. Might look this ending up on the tube and move on to finishing Golden Sun.

I think it's a pretty decent game. Although as I have said before, your AI controlled teammates aren't the brightest because they spend a good part of battles getting taken out.

That actually isn't the reason people dislike the remake; the exact same thing happens in the original. You have to go through several long dungeons with no saves and Cerberus still gets multiple attacks to trash you with.

I can forgive a NES title for not being able to save for that long, but a portable remake...not the best
design in my opinion.

Anyway, I liked the game, I just dont think I can spare another 3 hours just to have another go, when I have so many other games on the backlog.

Defeated the final boss (won't say who) in The Last Story this evening. All I need to do is trigger a sequence of events to finish the game, and I'll finally be done.

Half way through chapter 6 in Bravely Default. Man, I am running out of steam on this one. I had no idea the game would be this long for me. The last chapters are taking me longer than it sounds like they are for other gamers. I'm just not hard core enough of a JRPG gamer I guess. I really want to finish the game though. I'll just have to play it in bursts I guess, try to beat a couple of bosses per sitting. That means 6 more days of play... I do appreciate the new story bits that are popping up but that doesn't cover up the repetitive nature of later parts of this game. It's taken me 60 hours to get to the middle of chapter 6, how many hours do you think I have left?

I'll agree that the later parts of BD get pretty repetitive. Even if you've got a pretty kitted out party the story segments just make things take a while to get through. I think they could have gotten away with half the chapters.

Golden Sun done. Should I jump right into The Lost Age? Seems logical....

Lost Age picks up right where Golden Sun left off, just with a different party of characters.
