My first yard sale find of the season was a Tengen Gauntlet cart for NES if anyone needs it...

Found a Sega Saturn sitting all by itself with no controllers, cables, etc for $20. I asked the cashier if it came with controllers, and he said that if it did, they'd put the bundle into a bag, so no. No controllers. It's got some battle damage on the corner, but it works perfectly!

Also, $3 four-way rca switchbox

Dang, that is nice... I've never seen a Sega Saturn in the wild but once which was the extra Sega Saturn I donated to Goodwill a day earlier (the case was in bad shape and missing the reset button. I couldn't sell it so I donated it since I already had 2 others)

Kmart is offering $10 SYWR points each with Mario Golf and Kirby Triple Deluxe this week. I had $3 in surprise points, so I got both, and I loaded a coupon to my card $10 in points for spending $50 or more.

So for $66 (after tax) I got 2 3ds games + $30 in SYWR points.

I did a deal on Craigslist today, there was an SNES lot with 9 crappy games but it had Breath of Fire included for $85, talked him down to $40 instantly. I get there and he says that 3 of the games were his son's friends and he had to return them ($2 games but still) and he hands me the SNES and it's yellowed bad, chipped and the controller port is broken. I look at him and wonder how stupid he thinks I am and I say that his pictures didn't show it was this bad and he says yeah but it's still working. I give him a look of disbelief and say that I'm not interested and he says to give him a new offer so I say 30 bucks (I can get $20 for Breath of Fire and he knew the value of it). So he says sure and I pay $30 for the following.

SNES (I had a dead one so I just switched the case and some of the insides out and it looks perfect now)
2 controllers (start/select buttons chewed off but I again have replacements)
Power/RF adapter the cable was literally braided into about 20 loops, strangest thing I've ever seen and I regret not taking a picture

Breath of Fire
Pilot Wings (doesn't work and just happened to be the only game I actually wanted to play, it worked for a second then started glitching about and froze to never work again)
NCAA Basketball
Pitfall (traded into the game store for $2.50)
Lion King (traded into the game store for $2.50, wasn't in the original list)
Nikelodeon Guts (traded into the game store for $2.50)
Harley's Humongous Adventure (traded into the game store for $2.50)

I used the store credit to buy Metroid on NES to play.

I went to Goodwill afterwards which was the day after the 50% off sale so the store was restocked and the electronic section was great. I scored a Roku XD for only $2.99 and I always take a look at the VCRs in case a Laserdisc pops up and there it was today. A Pioneer CLD-v2600.

It had a disc of Paul Mccartney inside and it works perfectly. I spent a whopping $10 on that. 8)

I'm always hoping constant visits to the electronics section will yield a LaserActive disguised as a common home theatre box or vcr by the normal folk!

Nice gets, especially the laserdisc player. The retro in me wants to get one just for kicks. Local find this weekend: Hori RAP EX (X360) for $43. Looks to be in good shape, but I want to learn about button mods for it and my VX.

Check on Craigslist, I've come across a few in the past month. You have to be quick though. I almost had one for $40 a few weeks ago but it got picked up an hour before he said. :x

If you guys didn't know, you can get a 10% discount at Goodwill if you have a student ID. That usually gets rid of the tax at least even on smaller purchases. I live in a state with the highest sales tax so it helps. It's 9.45% :?
