Nah, though I made a decent showing at a few online tournaments. I lived and breathed that game, night and day, before and after work. Very happy that I decided to step away for good though, considering what it was doing to my "social life".
I played SC2 a lot myself, some great times.
Definitely, lots of fun and highly addictive. The best RTS game ever made in my opinion - anyone who has any love for the genre and hasn't tried it is truly missing out.

My brother has over a year's worth of play time logged in WoW.

Essentially he spent 1/5th of every day playing WoW - over a five-year period.

I personally wonder how much time I spent in Half-Life (2): Deathmatch, Team Fortress 2, and Counter-Strike: Source. Steam says I've logged 1, 29, and 13 hours respectively.

If my calculations are right, you played 8 hours a day for 2 years?

There's only one occasion in my entire life where I played video games for over 8 hours within a single day. It was about two years ago - I called in sick and rolled through the final sections of Tales of Symphonia. Think I played for about 10-12 hours that day. I regret nothing.

Appropriately enough, my second-longest play session was with the game's sequel, Dawn of the New World. I played for 7.5 hours within a single day. I felt exhausted when I finally turned off my Wii for the evening. I recall commenting to my wife, "I can't believe I played video games for seven and a half hours!" Her reply: "I can't believe you did anything for seven and a half hours!"

That's pretty funny, I think Takes of Symphonia was one of the few games I've clocked 60 hours into... and I still didn't beat it.

Speaking of long gaming sessions, I managed to beat Wind Waker when it came out on GC in 2 days and I think it's easily a 40 hr game from what I remember. I've never done anything like that since...

November 2010 is when I started playing, right up until the end of 2012. I would actually say that on many days, I would put 10 -12 hours in. At the time I only worked casually and could afford to sink countless hours into an online game. No longer.

If it makes you feel any better, I dropped two college morning courses so I could play FFX, and dropped a graduate Monday night class so I could watch MNF.
