Ggs to all.
I need to brush up on some more charcaters. Don't want to be too predictable.

You still got me with the T.Hawk though, dood. I have to live that one down.
Wow, so the Steam version is still crap for netplay? That sucks.

marurun wrote:Cha, your concerns about netplay were well-founded. How on earth did this game make it out the door with that much delay between input and character response in netplay modes? I mean, there are folks out there who have already figured this stuff out, like the guys at GGPO. There's just no excuse for this, really.

That does suck. I'd be really up for some online KoF Xlll.
Re: Racketeer Weekly Fight Nights: Resurrection!
So observations from last night-
TSTR- man, you were playing well in the beginning and then you took a big step back. I think you are now over-focused on landing the few cancels you know how to do and are allowing people to jump in on you easier and you are not watching for ultras/supers when people have meter. We'll have a few weeks before SF4 probably shows up again, take that time to adjust your mental game, play more online randoms and develop that patience you were using before... which helped your Ryu play a lot.
Aramonde- your issues tonight were kind of an analogue to TSTR's. I think your practice would be better suited towards learning better defenses than generating offense. Learning for instance, to anti-air with Guile's normals, when to focus attack (crucial for guile) and how to FADC sonic boom and flash kick into dashes for better set ups, can go a long way. You can set the CPU opponent in practice to do jump in attacks and projectiles, and this way you can learn how to better counter them at all ranges. Worry about the execution of offense once you actually learn how to seize an opportunity/opening.
Aside from that, just add more patience to your game. Hitting buttons when confused or unaware, is what gets people killed. If you don't know what to do, just try and block for now- if you eat a mix up, so bet it... at last you will have a clear picture of what went wrong that time and work on blocking or interrupting the stuff from there. Focus on hitting buttons when you know there is an opening, because just hitting them to hit them can prevent you from truly understanding how/why your move won or didn't win in that situation.
tl;dr- Be patient, work on normals for anti-airs.
Foxhound- Hey man you did better tonight, you have a good online offense. You seemingly were using 10+ characters, kudos! I'd just say your game suffered when you ran into a player who knew how to punish whatever moves you just threw out with a lot of those characters though. My only recommendations would be just focus on 2-3 characters and learn how to develop a better overall game with them, rather than trying to offensively gimmick out people with new characters every match. Hilarious psychic ultra's with Cody though man! Even though my Cammy lost to it, I still had a good ol' chuckle when not once, but TWICE you hit my counter Ultra with your Ultra when you activated BEFORE my Ultra even flashed! Goooood shit.
Had fun tonight guys, sorry for being kinda quiet once the hockey games reached critical mass around 11pm. Was doing a poor job of multitasking at the end
I hope we can get a positive turnout for Tekken next week. The netplay is robust and the lobby features in-game text chat! Don't let the new game jitters keep you away, I promise to help anyone new learn over just stomping on you repeatedly. I really love Tekken as a game and feel that it has a lot to offer for the uninitiated!
I'm not gonna fool myself into thinking it will have the draw or easy appeal of SF, but hope some of you give it a chance.
ps. TSTR pm me when you wanna play SC5, or just post here and I'll prolly see it.

And it's not lag as I normally envision it. It's not that the game seems to skip and catch up. It is, quite literally massive input delay. There's like almost a half-second between input and response.
Re: Racketeer Weekly Fight Nights: Resurrection!
Anyone on here also playing on 360? I have a couple of fighting games for it: Like SSF4AE, Tekken TT 2, SCV

which Tekken is it? TTT2? Is that one under $20 nowadays?
Re: Racketeer Weekly Fight Nights: Resurrection!
Edge- I am more than willing to play on XBL, especially TTT2 or SCV. Just post in this thread and state what times/dates you'd like to try playing.
Noise- Yea the in the OP'rotation list- it states TTT2, updating my sig to reflect that. The game is $20 now and around $10-15 used up here.
If anyone wants to practice Tekken before next wednesday, hit me up here!
