yeah, well you guys have me interested for sure. I can't remember, how much is opened up for either game when you link it to Cool Cool Toon?

At any rate, I'm still stuck in Card Fighters Clash. I cannot beat the first round of the big tournament. So basically, I've just followed this pattern over and over: (1) try to beat the first round, (2) lose, (3) go back and fight some random dude to get another new card added to my deck, (4) repeat. I'm like 15-16 hrs in now...

On the bright side, I picked up a CR-2032 battery over the weekend, so there's no more constant red light flashing when I play NGPC now haha.

Help me out here guys: What's the consolized MVS solution for someone that wants the legit Neo Geo experience but can't swing the money for analogue interactive? Is Neo Geo X really the way to go?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I would just load up the PS3 w/ NG games before getting a NGX. I mean, you can buy a USB NG stick for it; and the PS3 versions of the games have online co-op.

well the omega CMVS goes for about $150 cheaper than the AI CMVS if you can drop $500 I'd go that route http://arcadeworks.net/omega-entertainment-machine.html

you could get a non fancy consolized 1 or 2 slot for about $200-$300, just make a post that your looking for one on Neo-geo.com or message Xian Xi he makes great custom CMVS's

Or you could go the Supergun route and buy a 1 slot mvs. The supergun will cost you $300-$500 depending on what features you want. I think you could get a simple composite only supergun for less than $100. nice thing about the supergun is that you don't have to limit yourself to Neo Geo games but there are tons of Jamma arcade games to enjoy.

Supergun is a thing that I hear people around here talk about a lot. What's the best place to read up more about it?

Message either a guy named RGB on shmups or Xian Xi on Neo-geo.com. they are experts on the subject.

Those are custom guns - they are nice if you have specific wants and don't mind working through things to get things exactly as you like them (like w/custom cables and tweakable pots). I think Flake might want something more plug and play out of the box. I'd spend the extra $$$ and get a factory unit.

That said - Xian Xi has been moving a few ready to go superguns on neo the past couple weeks in the $300-350 range - no wait and you can see exactly what it looks like now. I'm happy to get you in touch w/him if you like - he's a really good dude and will happily walk you through stuff in the beginning (as will ninja and I).

Oh, and this guy did a supergun thread on here awhile back :|

What's with all the gambling games for the NGPC? Are any of them very good?

I can't imagine a fruit machine where you win only virtual currency to be any fun so is there any actual fun to be extracted from these titles or should they just be considered for fulling out a collection?

Anyone actually enjoyed these. Right now they will probably be the last titles I would consider collecting.

Also, when I spoke to RGB a few months ago he said real life had caught up to him and he was no longer making custom superguns. I bet he'd still answer questions, considering he seemed like a nice enough guy when I PM'd him, but just an fyi.

http://www.jamma-nation-x.com (Xian Xi's website) has some basic information on it as well.
