Speaking of invasion, is this why you would use a Llyod's Talisman? Does it prevent only invaders from estus or is it everyone?
I'm not sure; there are few enemies that use estus and I usually can wail on them when they do for a net loss of HP for them.

Weird, I just read that you throw it. So it only effects who you throw it at. Would be useful against invading players. Looks like you can throw them against mimic chests too and have them stunned long enough to retrieve their item. What an odd item.

I am a bad bad person. I don't know why but I take pleasure in killing the host with balistas when I get summoned.

I have defeated Dark Souls (plus the DLC which was incredible and had some of the most intense dynamic bosses).

I want to say they mostly balance out for me. No denying DS1 is
- Harder
- Vastly superior art direction and atmosphere, the whole thing just felt more dense

The final bosses are no comparison. DS1's final boss was absolutely amazing. Not sure if it tops Demon's for me, but yeah. The final boss in DS2 kind of sucked and was even boring to look at for me.

100% agree. I think that, over time, Dark Souls will be seen as far superior to Dark Souls II, despite being more difficult and less "friendly".

Eh I can see DaS 2 being considered the best out of them all due to the PvP/covenants being better and having many more play styles that are viable. Although in about a month everyone could be using the same equip set like giant family men in DaS for all I know.

PvP was never a factor for me for any of my playthroughs, in fact I find it more of a hassle than anything in these games. Most of the time it seems like it's just a bunch of assholes using broken builds to invade players who are only looking to complete the game. I absolutely detested the covenants in DS2, especially the area with the rat covenant where the player attacks you with the help of a bunch of monsters - I actually got so annoyed by constantly being interrupted by that idiocy that I turned off the wi-fi on my PS3 and then completed the area offline. Douchebags.

Rat gang for life! I can see what you're saying and completely understand it but at the same time I think PvP is the main draw of the game for the majority of players.

My next character is going to be named Leonardo, he'll wear the turtle armor, dual wield katanas and be in the rat gang. Collecting all the rat tails for master splinter.

I was a little annoyed by this at first, but then I realized it had almost no negative impact on you other then some time lost. Bell Covenant on the other hand, sucks. They invade you instead of being pulled to them.

That's another one. I know that some people will argue that it's a different sort of "challenge", but I don't agree with that. The other other two Souls games didn't have to resort to multiplayer interference (and both Bell and Rat invasions aren't fairly balanced, considering the monsters associated with Rat and the often multiple players involved with a Bell invasion) and it often serves to create nearly unwinnable fights. I have no interest in that, especially in a game that kills you enough times through trial and error as it is.
