While on that note, who else is going to put a game penis in every slot?

I wouldn't they told me it broke because someone tried playing it with 2 games in it at the same time.

Honestly, I wish they would have planned on that happening. I was hoping once you powered it on it took you to a screen and you could choose what game/system you wanted to play.

My friend here at work says he wants to put a game in each slot and then power it on to "see what happens". Well, when it starts humming and smoke is coming out of it....that's probably not good.

Yeah a simple screen like that one that appears when you turn on a DS (to choose the DS or GBA game) would be nice.

And apparently it's not available to order on Amazon or NewEgg right now. Sold out?
The black colored unit is listed as Out of Stock on NewEgg. Checked my pre-order with them (from November , still valid.)

I watched that Youtube interview, but what really struck me was the guy in the background playing Sonic 2. The interviewee from hyperkin claims to have alleviated the controller lag issue. The dude in the background playing Sonic 2 seems to tell a different story. Either he's really bad at Sonic 2, or he's having controller issues himself. Everyone re-watchthat video and tell me what you think of the Sonic 2 gameplay.

I love how people keep trolling Hyperkin's facebook page like so:

Only Tyler Durden does this.

That's hilarious! It takes skill to be that bad.

On another note, why would they design the wireless controller's d-pad to be unlike any of the systems the Retron 5 is designed to play?

The Facebook trolling is rather pitiful. So much frothy entitled nerd rage. I don't mind waiting a few extra months for a product that launches without any issues.

It's hard to say really. It's my opinion that most of the best platformers were indeed localized.

The best Famicom games we missed out on were RPGs. I have only 4 Famicom games - Mother, Romancia, and Final Fantasy II and III. I still need to track down Just Breed and Ys I, II, and III. Obviously none of those are easy to play without knowing Japanese.
