Ticked - just found out that my promotion, literally the only reason I am still at this company, just got shelved for twelve months minimum. And to add salt to that wound, one of my counter parts in Atlanta, who just got hired last year, is about to be my boss, and they are not backfilling her position for atleast a month. The decision was that I would just handle the workload. Starting Monday I am applying for other jobs, I am done with this.

Smile - so we lost the fire engine, but my father inlaw found this locally and bought it already:

If we can sell (or part out and scrap) our existing cab for enough, we will break even, but it will be alot closer.

:D goat simulator! I've been playing around with it for the last hour or so and it's hilarious. I'm downloading the development kit now so I can make some custom maps and such.

My landlord's son passed away yesterday of his own volition. Not so certain I'm happy to be home now. It's gonna be a gloomy time around here for a while.

I was packaging a Sega CD to be shipped that I sold last night and I opened it to check if it was fully functional before sending when I realized I picked it up from the bottom instead of the top everything inside fell out. I put it back in and now it makes a loud static sound and when I try to play games I either get a loud screaming noise or it doesn't even read the disc. I hate these consoles, they are flimsy and give me nothing but problems. I've owned 3 Sega CDs in the past year and they have all broke. I just want to smash this one with a hammer now. :x

$70 down the drain.

I got 3 days of in school suspension. I served one day already, and jesus christ ISS is boring, it's like testing all day but the testing last eight hours.
EDIT: and i got my ID taken away that gives you extra privileges. I bought the two i had tied together (the id is a lanyard and a little badge.) Both of my lanyards had broke, so i tied them together. I paid 10$ for fucking 15c pieces of fabric and i got them taken away.

:x : Another somewhat crappy transaction on eBay. Had a girl from Canada somehow purchase an item even though there is no international shipping and it is not supposed to be visible for anyone outside of the US . Anyways it was a 9 pound item so shipping was going to be a bear and I figured it was an accident so i contact her and she tells me this story about how she was teaching her grandmother how to use ebay and bought it on accident. So we agree to cancel and then... she drops off the face of the earth. Never responds to the official cancel request and it's been nearly a week now  . I can close the case manually tomorrow to get my $5 back but it pisses me off when people do this since it wastes over a week of my time each time it happens :P.

I understand why they limited sellers to only being able to give positive feedback, but there are cases where it would be nice if we could give warning to other sellers even if it was neutral. The only real option is to leave positive feedback with a negative comment which is disallowed by eBay and only ends up boosting the feedback rating :P.

I would just avoid dealing with Canadians altogether.

To your point - listing US only and shipping to US only keeps your listing on ebay.com and off of ebay.ca, ebay.uk, ebay.aus, etc - it doesn't stop people from logging into and bidding on the US site. Anyone with an ebay account can login into any other of the dozens of ebay country specific sites with the same ID and login. I often login to ebay.uk when looking for specific PAL games and try to find sellers whom ship to the US. However, there is nothing to stop me from bidding on any item - regardless if they ship to UK only, or worldwide - just because my account is US based doesn't mean I won't have an alternate address in the UK. In fact, many border Canadians have PO boxes in the US.

Regarding the cancellation - just not a big deal. Does it stink having money tied up a week, sure, but that's the nature of ebay and paypal and for good reason - it helps to avoid scam possibilities in the long run, so it's a good buffer.

I'm guessing when she agreed in messages to cancel she thought it was done - she doesn't know she needed to then go tick a box somewhere. Most people (afaik) send ebay messages to junk mail (otherwise you get an email every time you bid, or are outbid, or just the generic junk about promotions), so if she's new, how would she even know to go tick a box? Just not worth getting worked up over.
