There's a Zillion II? Not life changing, but interesting none-the-less.

Yeah..... It's okay, more of a straightforward action game vs. a Metroid-style adventure.

It's really cheap, which is nice.

2nd is my least favorite of the three PSP games, despite the additions of directional input beats, and the Extreme difficulty mode—which is really all I ever care to play. In terms of track list, and timing recognition (the first two feel bizarrely off, for some reason) Extend is easily the best of the three, to me.

Good to know. When I was trawling eBay, the 1st and 2nd games were more common and good chunk cheaper (£20 instead of £30+) than Extend. I figured if I was gonna get all 3 anyway, I might aswell start on one of those. Most people I spoke too said the first is kinda the black sheep, so I figured I'd go with 2nd for now.

I've read several times it isn't as good as the first. So I guess one's interest probably depends if a 'not as good' is still enough to make one seek it out.

Some of my most recent pickups:

Battletoads in Battlemaniacs (SNES)- Haven't had the chance to play this one much yet, but it seems like the difficulty factor that Battletoads is known for is still there. Got to the first boss then ran out of continues (yes, I suck). Hoping to get my buddy over soon so we can co op this bitch.

Playstation 2 console- Filling a little PS2 nostalgia, so I decided to buy a new PS2 while the prices are still 'somewhat' reasonable. Had to order a memory card as well. My old PS2 doesn't work anymore.

Twisted Metal Black- I've never played a Twisted Metal game. I heard this is the best one, so I'm going to give it a shot.

Shadow of the Colossus- Another classic I missed out on. I thought about getting the HD version, but I didn't want to stress about trophies (once I start a game with trophies my OCD forces me to go for the platinum) plus I heard the controls are kind of wonky. So....I decided to get the original version.

Nice! It is a smart choice if you have the trophy OCD since the achievements are really tough to achieve. Lots of speed running colossi.

Yeah, the first two are easier to find. I mainly just think the track list for 2nd is really weak. It adds the staple features like a fourth difficulty level, and the directional beats, but I just don't like to play it because there aren't many good tracks that aren't already on 1st or Extend. Also, I swear there's something really weird about input recognition in 2nd. I had to constantly watch the timers and match my inputs up with a certain spot, rather than tapping to the beat of the song, in 2nd.

1st is more stripped down, but I like it for what it is; and when it was the only one out, it was a great rhythm game.
