Hane's Mall, Winston-Salem NC: Awesome.

I lived in Winston Salem for three years, and I can assure you that Hanes Mall is decidedly not awesome (much like every other mall in the entire world as far as I can tell).

Not only did I get to both second and third base at Hane's Mall, I also got my ear pierced there when I was sixteen (took out the earring at age seventeen). Not only did the tobacco shop sell me cigarettes, you could smoke in the mall (stopped smoking at age 20). And not only did the mall have electronics boutique and suncoast video back to back, mle melton once invited me into the the dressing room at victoria's secret when I was fourteen.

And on top of that, the Annabelle's served one of the best shroom and swiss burgers I've ever had the delight of eating.

That, PLUS The Nature Company, Sharper Image, and a Bulk Candy store. The place was middle school heaven.

My father-in-law, who plans on moving eventually, destroyed a piano I offered to take off his hands. I guess he got impatient or something and wanted it out of his house. Such a waste.

What the hell happened to my computer? I'm running windows 8.1 and when I got home last night half of the programs that were on the start screen are no longer there and I'm unable to put them back. I still have the programs on my computer but I can't create start screen tiles for them. Anyone got any clues? This is really bugging me.

Do you have a small OS drive that is running out of space? Sometimes you can see stuff like that if your User Profile doesn't have room to grow. If you end up having to clear some room, do so and then fully reset the computer.

In my short experience with it (having had the same problem), I think Windows 8.1 just isn't that good.

I've got a 120 gig ssd with at least 50 free so it's not a space issue.

I like windows 8.1 because I can keep all my clutter off my desktop. All I have on there is a short cut to my E drive and the recycle bin. The start screen was mostly filled with games and random programs that get used all the time so having to dig through program files to find stuff is super annoying.
