Just hopping in on this conversation -

I'm a huge fan of Biggie (the "Ready to Die" album is... guh. Man. I listen to that allllll the time). I also really enjoy Adam Warrock, who makes raps about video games/movies/TV shows he likes (my two favorite are his "Browncoat EP" (Firefly) and "The Kid EP" (Bastion)).

There are a few others, but that's basically it, and I'd really like to expand my repertoire. What's some other awesome stuff? I'd like to get into 90's hip hop specifically, but am certainly open to older/more contemporary stuff, too.

The future is now-nonphixion

It wasn't released in the 90's but pretty much every single song on the album is from the early to mid 90's. Also fun fact when it was released it was the only album since nas's illmatic to feature DJ Premier, Large Professor and Pete Rock. Most definitely one of my favorite albums of all time, top five for sure.
