Chronic is more swearing, but it's flippant. Yeezus is more graphic.prfsnl_gmr wrote:How does it compare to The Chronic?Stark wrote:Yeezus
It's really good, but I wish there were less swears. I know it's rap and it's just expected, it just makes me want to listen to it less. I guess it just effects my day, makes me more aggressive and negative. Probably one of the best rap albums I've listened to though. (That number is not very high).

That was a trick question.
Nothing compares to The Chronic. It is, and shall forever be, the best rap album.

right. Somehow a single line about sweet-n-sour sauce comes across as far more offensive than anything on The Chronic.Stark wrote: Chronic is more swearing, but it's flippant. Yeezus is more graphic.
Agree to disagree. It's a pretty perfect album. But I've got a fair list that I'd put ahead of it.prfsnl_gmr wrote: Nothing compares to The Chronic. It is, and shall forever be, the best rap album.

OK...OK...Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers comes close. I will grant you that, at least.

Hey you were lucky to actually grab another rap album I've listened to, so kudos. I've probably not heard the other albums noise puts above The Chronic.

Enter The Wu-Tang I'd put above The Chronic. Yup. And Illmatic for sure. Off the top of my head.prfsnl_gmr wrote: OK...OK...Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers comes close. I will grant you that, at least.
(Personally, Midnight Marauders is my fav hip hop album of all time - but I'll keep that out of the convo as that's more personal preference vs. what I think is a "better" album...)
Also, and this might be more controversial, I've listened to The Chronic and Doggystyle back to back and as albums made up of basically the same personnel in different roles, I have a tough time deciding which I actually think is the better album.

Good stuff. Listening to that on the bus on a field trip is what kicked off my real interest in music. I borrowed it from the friend and listened to it many many times that weekend.insanecow0 wrote: Band: New Order

Animals as Leaders is dropping their new album in 10 days, and has teased us with some songs.
This one is my favorite so far:
And... seeing them in concert just 3 days after this shit hits the shelves.
Hyped as fuck.
