Yes.

And off-topic:

:( My uncle tried to clean my glasses and now the right lens is really smudged and I can't unsmudge it no matter what I wipe the lens with or how hard.

:) Tons of cool old PC games on sale at the thrift store, most of which are available digitally. But I can't afford them (though I have the money, I don't feel as though I can rationalize buying them), so :(

:) My nieces tried some gingerbread cookies (Little Debbie brand) and loved them. I promised them that if they were good (I called to check) then I'd get them something.

Smile: Got the house appraised to sell once the new baby is born in a week or two and we should be able to make a small profit (enough for a down payment).

Frown: My 4 and 2 yr old took a box of non washable markers to two walls in her bedroom while we made dinner tonight (45 min). It's bad covering everything from corner to corner and as far up as they can reach and we can't get it off - not even the super awesome magic eraser worked... now we will have to repaint that room. Unless any of you have ideas or suggestions.

Gasoline and matches.

No? Ok

Maybe wallpaper up to where they could reach then put a simple would trim above at the end of the wallpaper. I'm not sure if it would be cheaper but it would probably be quicker then painting.

You lost me. I know of no world where wallpapering is faster than painting...particularly if you haven't done it before.

I do love the look of wainscoating and a chair rail, but since yr selling, just prime / paint, be done.

I guess it just goes to show that I really hate painting. I can wallpaper a room pretty fast but if you get me to start taping edges for painting that's going to add way more time then it would for me to wallpaper it. I've only really painted in old houses with unpainted trim where the home owner is rightly a little anal about things also so that adds to it.

I also hate painting, and it figures that her room was the most recently painted with the least scratches, dents, etc...

We are not really on the market, but we know that if we find our "dream house" we can sell our current house to make the move. I just hate painting.

SB what type of marker was it? Make/model.

There may be some really easy chemicals changes that can take it off. Though my standby of lighterfluid rarely lets me down... Magic erasers may seem like they are full of children's souls and unicorn tears, but they are really just melamine foam, so they are not the be all end all saving grace. But they are super effective in most situations.
