A Metal Gear PS4... Japan gets the cool stuff.

I'm hoping the U.S. gets a special edition console once Phantom Pain is released.
Well, we did get the MG PSP-3000 not too long ago...but I agree, we need stuff like this more often.
I have that and love it.

That one looks really cool, if it's real.

Was thinking of ordering a PS4 from Amazon if they're still in stock. Still probably not worth it. Although I am likely to pick up FFXIV for PS4 when that is out next month. Want it for the remote play for crafting.

I'd be all over that!
If it makes you feel any better (worse?), the image on the side is literally just a sticker... :|

Kind of lame.

Remote play isn't that solid, sadly.
It works, but it cuts out very often even on the same network. Over the internet there's a significant amount of latency between input and response.

I'm guessing that for FFXIV crafting, neither latency nor cutting out would be that big a deal. :P

Correct. And I've heard from others that it works great. So I'm not expecting too much. Will likely be very network dependent. If my console were wired I bet that would help.

Remote play works perfectly on my home network, I've never had any issues. I suspect part of the issue is the performance level or your wireless router as well as the number of connected devices.

I've not had any issues with remote play at all. It's an awesome feature and works incredibly well. My only gripe is I find it difficult to use the Vita's back touchpad in place of L2,L3 and R2,R3 on games, but it's not a major issue.
