What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I'm sure you've got it in the bag sir.

So...

My Sister and I usually "borrow" photobooks from our relatives while visiting to scan pics of our earlier years. Of course we return the books later, and no one seems to notice.

I borrowed a few books from my Grandmother, and found this:

My Grandmother used to send pin ups to my Grandfather during WWII. Which is cool, but creepy as she is my Grandmother. But hell, good on her.

To this day my Grandmother fervently denies the pictures exist and swears she was a "Nice Catholic Girl growing up in Chicago". Old people rule.

Ticked - I found out I can somewhat economically* collect train cars due to a rail yard being in our nearby city. This is ofcourse, not a cheap prospect, which explains why I am ticked. I was planning on building an arcade inside of a caboose or box car.

Smile - A buddy of mine just got in his modern Petzval lens. Since I just sold my vintage one, I am excited to see how his compares. I am sure it is good enough for my purposes, but new gear is always exciting.

*it would be about 20-40k per car, which is a helluva lot less than I thought they would be. And no I am not seriously going to do that.

You just gave me a five minute set with that idea alone. God bless you.

Wait. Is it you or emmjayjerr25 that's building an arcade in a slanted trailer?

We're now leaving Saturday, which means tomorrow we gotta get all of our affairs in order (i.e. turning in our costumes, giving our resignations) and to pack up the U-Haul.

:) I found a complete copy of Rule of Rose (PS2) at a local store!

:( It was priced $99.99; so, I passed on it...

I have seen several people do it. Really I can have an out building full of gaming stuff if I really want it, but the concept of having it in a train car was just cool - and sadly probably about the same price (before moving the train car).

You gotta let me know more about that set.
