It's also pretty meh, though watching an invisible demon urinate blood in a men's room was pretty funny.jvalentine98 wrote:Sleepwalkers was the last movie I watched. The old Stephen King movie. Love that one. I want to get the Night Flier on DVD but it's hard to find and expensive, for an old King movie.

This movie throws a lot at the viewer in its attempts at humor, and a lot of it falls flat, but I admit that there are moments where I laughed because suddenly something so utterly ridiculous or unexpected occurred. But it's like a shotgun blast of parody attempts, and for each one that works, there's plenty that don't hold up, like the Jewish security system during the Mission Impossible parody sequence. There's just too many attempts which appear to be solely for the sake of trying, like the generally pointless Star Wars references. But when gold strikes, it strikes hard, like the scene with Leslie Nielsen running from the toy plane in a North by Northwest parody. And a few of the gags become more funny just based on how long they hold out, like the dropped coffee cup after the Usual Suspects parody or the train that chases Nielsen. If they had pulled out a lot of the chaff, the film would have been much better in my opinion. It just tried way too much and too rarely hits its mark in my opinion.
Still, I'm glad they explained that thing with the coat in the credits. That would have haunted me.
