Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I just watched Taken for the first time. Damn was it a good movie. Liam Neeson's character is a complete badass, especially because he killed someone with a broken wine bottle. I have not researched Taken 2, but for anyone who has watched it, is it nearly as good as the first?
I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)
Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping!

Taken 2 is not as good as the first, but it's still quite a fun action movie. I'd recommend it to fans of the first.

Yeah, the second is not as good ... HOWEVER, I haven't seen the unrated cut, which I assume fixes some of the problems with the movie (There's at least two "how did that person die?" moments)
But it's still a good time and has it's own memorable moments.
The third is also greenlit.

That's actually not that hard to do. A properly broken bottle is probably just as effective a weapon as a knife.TheSegaSaturnGuy wrote:Liam Neeson's character is a complete badass, especially because he killed someone with a broken wine bottle.

One was enjoyable, one sucked really badly, and one was... eh.

BLUE JASMINE
I was pleasantly surprised. Excellent dialogue, great acting, beautifully shot. Totally story driven and usually a pleasure to watch, but it is a movie about life, so at times it gets heavy.
NOOOOO! Jurassic Park needs you!

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
My wife and I watched two excellent films recently:
Cruel Gun Story (1964) - which stars the instantly recognizable Joe Shishido - is an excellent Yakuza film, and it is easily one of my favorites (alongside Branded to Kill and Youth of the Beast...both of which also star Joe Shishido). I think I like this genre so much because the films are basically 1940s and 1950s American film noirs set in 1960s Japan and without any of the restrictions imposed by the Motion Picture Production Code (i.e., the Hays Code).
Foreign Correspondent (1940) is a relatively early (and, unfortunately, somewhat forgotten) Alfred Hitchcock, WWII-era spy thriller that is every bit as good as his later work. (Joseph Goebbels even conceded that it was "[a] masterpiece of propaganda, a first-class production which no doubt will make a certain impression upon the broad masses of the people in enemy countries.") The performances were fantastic; Hitchcock's talent for directing suspense is apparent in every frame; and I highly, highly recommend it. (This is especially true for fans of Hitchcock's work.)
