I would love to have oculus rift games that mimicked virtual boy titles. I have seen a whole bunch of retro remakes in first person like The Legend of Zelda and think a black and red color scheme would be awesome with some titles.

I also would love to see some Tron-style games. People constantly clamor for realism, especially in the virtual reality field, but for me, I enjoy games that defy logic and are based on different sets of rules than what we see in reality.

Oculus VB games would be pretty sweet.

I was listening to an interview with Craig Hubbard today, the mastermind behind one of my favorite games No One Lives Forever. Now I'm jonesing for a sequel to NOLF and Blood. Probably will never happen.

There was a sequel!

No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way

I still have to play this game series...add another to the LIST!

Yes and in rare form NOLF2 is even better than the first. I meant another sequel. ;) There was also a Blood 2, although I never played that.

Yeah, NOLF games were great fun...sadly, probably won't see a sequel for the same reason that the PC games aren't on GOG/etc. Nobody seems to know who has the rights to them (at least last I saw). The source code for the first game is available though.

Three more levels and I'll beat Thief II! It's one of those great games that were rushed into release and aren't fine-tuned masterpieces for it. I hope to be able to review it soon :)

There is a Virtual Boy emulator for the Oculus.

There is also an Oculus Rift game made in the style inspired a bit by Virtual Boy, but I can't remember what it was called right now.

Here are some other vectory demos and games:

On the list of "Awesome projects I thought were dead in the water"... the SD card replacement for DC GD-ROM is apparently still alive! http://dknute.livejournal.com/42609.html

Last I remember hearing of that was late 2012, so this was kinda surprising. Now I'm hoping he changes his mind on the "I'm not gonna make these" because I will SO sign up for one.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
