You may be thinking of RayStorm or RayCrisis - RayForce didn't get released on the PS1.

Unless you meant PS2, in which case that should be the same as the arcade version and would go in the same table.

My stage 1 score on this run was 400,000; So, not really the score I was hoping for, overall. Didn't quite make it to the stage 3 boss, nor did I see the stage 3 boss at all tonight, but I might give it one more go some time this month.

It's a pretty good game—looks a treat—but I'm just not able to keep myself from dying stupidly. I feel like I should be able to make it pretty far, but I just keep dying at really inopportune times. Really frustrating.

Same here. The lock on thing just pisses me off sometimes though. Like I'll be looking low to try and grab as many lock ons as I can when WHOOPS there's that bullet on the upper layer I wasn't paying attention to.
