i can't be friends with a dude that don't respect Midnight Marauders. It's in my top 5 of all time.

for real though, did any fellow Native Tongue fans check out Abstract & The Dragon? http://www.theabstractandthedragon.com/

it's a bunch of tribe/Q-tip b-sides with Busta on em, chances are there's a few you haven't heard in between the 4-5 legit new tracks...and it's free, too!

yup. I wished there was more new stuff on it, as "Thank You" and the remix of "God Lives Through" were great. Or at least they could made it a thorough mix of all the collabs they had done over the years. Still a nice mix, but I felt it could have been better. A bit of a missed opportunity.

Actually i implied respect but said it wasn't for me, lol.

Man at that time i was 20, gangsta rap was blowing up and that's what i wanted to hear. I listened and bought everything with a rap-a-lot and death row label, and the majority of my collection was west coast. Spice 1, mc eiht, too short, e 40, tupac and my fav, cypress hill. I ignored east coast and ATCQ just didn't have the sound that i wanted. I remember going to a cypress hill concert with nas and busta opening and they couldn't get off the stage fast enough cause i came to see cypress.

^haha i'm taking the piss with you but yeah, when i was a kid i'd get stuck on a sound & not really give any regard to what else was going on, just wasn't open to it at the time. it's funny because, like some elements of retro gaming, i look back & stuff really shines that i wasn't ready for, you know? DJ Quik's Safe & Sound is the other side of the Saturn coin for me, heh.

I liked the first gif better, but both work.

Anyone else go to a leg of the Up In Smoke Tour? I believe the one I went to in Charlotte was hosted in 97 or 98.
