What was the last movie you've seen?

I recentoy read a very fun article on Cary Grant, and it led me to:

She Done Him Wrong (1933). It was a delightful "pre-code" film that is absolutely full of double entendres and sexual innuendo. It is also one of Cary Grant's first major roles (which is why it was listed in the article linked above). The film, which runs just over an hour, belongs to Mae West, however, and her roots as a burlesque/vaudeville performer are on full display. She fills the screen with bawdy songs and an aggressive female sexuality that is shocking in a film of its age. I recommend it to anyone that is a fan of classic films, and since it is included on both the AFI's "100 Laughs" and "100 Quotes" lists, anyone looking to improve his or her cultural literacy. (Finally, it is currently available for streaming through Netflix!)

.....

I also watched the Expendables 2 the other day, but other than JCVD's wonderfully ridiculous role as the villain, it was pretty bad. (It went well with pizza and a PBR, however.)

Her was really, really strange and quite a brilliant piece of writing. I don't know that I liked it, but I really respect it as a film.

HER amazed me. As I stated before, some of the best love stories are the most unconventional.

Speaking of, my wife watched TOOTSIE for the first time today, and as I thought, she loved it. I spent that time planning out an agenda and goofing around a bit on this forum, but I couldn't stop repeating "Get ya Tootsie Frootsie Ice-a Cream!" once my wife said "Tootsie".

I hope most of you are familiar with "Get ya Tootsie frootsie Ice-a cream", but if not, youtube it.

I don't think I posted this here, but I was visiting my girlfriend last weekend and we wanted to actually do something we don't usually do, so we took in a movie. First time in 9 months actually, though we've been to 2 live theatre shows...

Anyway, we went to see Frozen. It was suitably adorable.

Tomorrow, When the War Began

Watched this on Netflix last night and thought it was pretty awesome. It's basically Red Dawn set in Australia. Characters were all pretty interesting and the story while a little slow was decent. Definitely would like to see a sequel since things started to pick up speed towards the end, but it sounds like it may have been canceled. Might just have to check the books out instead especially since the characters actually have a conversation midway through the movie about how "books are always better then the movies" lol.

Having just recently seen it myself, I must agree that that is an accurate description.

I watched this just this week, but it is easily one of my favourite 2013 productions. I liked the simple, no-nonsense plot, the lack of "support characters" and the nice effects of course.

More of this and less sociopathic spandex suits, please.
I watched this recently. It was really cool to see a simple yet thrilling movie like that. About 2 minutes into the movie, shit starts happening and it rarely lets up for about an hour and a half.

I also really liked the surround mix they had for the movie. Hearing George Clooney shout at me from all angles.... ahhh....

REBOOTCOP

Wasn't terrible but...
It was watered down. Don't expect a thousand squibs to explode in this Robocop movie. Don't expect a real villain either. Don't expect to see robocop shoot someone in the crotch. Don't expect great satirical humor.

You can expect some pretty solid performances. You can expect Robocop to have a lazer/taser gun. You can expect to see Robocop with his visor up for about 90% of the movie which looks goofy. And you can finally count an an idiotic kid getting shot by an ED-209.
