Two fun tracks from above album, I always love hearing Tarja Turunen and I find myself surprisingly loving And We Run, a metal song with rap verses in it that actually works. I already know some will consider this album not "metal" enough. Hell if I care, good music is good music

Lot of interesting guest stars on this. They've got Howard Jones from Killswitch Engage on one song:

And I've already posted tracks featuring Tarja Turunen and Xzibit, pretty eclectic album

I'm loving so many tracks on this:

Is anyone else excited about the new At the Gates album? I sure as hell am. If this goes over half as well as Carcass' Surgical Steel this is gonna kick ass!

That's pretty much the measuring stick as far as reunion albums go. It'll be hard to top Slaughter though. Carcass had the benefit of going out on Swansong, which was a step down from Heartwork imo.

AC/DC is more of a hard rock / blues rock band, imo. but they still rule.

Have you heard of Ghost Brigade?

I suppose they might be more similar to some of the later Katatonia albums, but worth a try anyway...

Yup, I'm familiar with them, but not a fan. Appreciate the suggestion though.

As I've poked around I've found there are a lot of bands that sound close to BMD, but always lack subtle little elements. I'm not looking for the exact same album or band, just something close. I guess BoneSnapDeez was right. I haven't found anything satisfying, so I guess for now, I'll put my search on hold.
