Thanks, I got that impression too.
Games with little girls on the cover are always way too expensive.

Twinkle Star Sprites, Cotton Boomerang, Magical Chase, Keio Flying Squadron...
...Pocky & Rocky, Panzer Dragoon Saga.

Noise convinced me into getting a Neo Geo Pocket Color. I have played Fatal Fury to death today, and I have very high praises to sing about this neat little handheld.

1. The screen refreshes quickly and the frame rates are very nice, hardly any slowdown.
2. Great sound quality.
3. Even without a backlight, clear picture and decent visibility even in a room without lighting during the day.
4. Super affordable. For $48, I got 5 games and a near flawless console shipped.

I am a fan. This is neat!

I agree w/all except #3, I can't get used to the dim screen, sadly, because aside that, I love this handheld.

Curious, what games came with it? Also, how can you not play it and immediately rave about that stick.

Oh yeah o.p. I told noise I love the click and response of that stick. How could I forget. Seriously, is it the first handheld that tossed a stick in there?

In the lot I got:
1.King of Fighters R2
2.Fatal Fury First Contact
3.Samurai Showdown 2
4.Pac-Man
5.Neo Turf Masters

Heck, not just the stick. The controls on that little sucker operate like a dream!

I've been playing so much Ogre Battle lately, I haven't dedicated much time to my NGPC. I need to go back to it soon. Maybe give Fatal Fury a go, though I'm still slowly unlocking things in SvC: MotM.

I strongly considered going this route, but from the screens I could find it looked like it would be pretty tough w/o knowing Japanese.

EDIT:

Also, some of you NGPC fans might not realize that I also do NGPC write-ups on my site (link in sig)... just put up one on Pac-Man over the weekend.

A guy on Neo-Geo.com makes some very high quality reproduction Mini Marquees, so I bought 13 of my most played games for my big red cab.
