A local pawn shop has a complete copy of Trinity Universe (PS3) for a good price. Should I pick it up? It appears to have some value, but it doesn't look like my cup of tea.

What is a good price? If it's a big difference between the shop's price and the game's current value, I'm sure you could always sell it to someone on here for profit.

$8...It doesn't look like a very common game based on my GameStop searches (and it will rot away in the pawn shop). I think I will pick it up (along with, maybe, Ghostbusters and LBP Karting) and give it a shot. If I don't like it, then I will offer it up here. (I need to update my trade list anyway.)

How can you tell if the copy is French-Canadian? I find it odd that my copies or KoF XI and KoF XII have both French and English versions of the text right on the box and cover..

Having both languages on the artwork/instructions doesn't mean much. Lots of American games are like that.

For French-Canadian titles look for games that have the French text first and English second. Some also have a little Canadian flag logo.

My copy of Drakengard (PS2) is like that as well. Not sure if that was the only way it was released or what.

My copy isn't, but I got it used, so maybe they had gotten rid of the French manual. There is no French on the box, though.

To take it further, I think I have a couple of TG-16 boxes (or cardboard sleeves, whatever you want to call them) and they have French and English on them. I'm pretty sure my copy of TV Sports Basketball is like that.

Ah, mine has French on the back cover as well. I don't think it extends to the disc content though, just packaging.

NES, and presumably SNES games specifically had CAN in the ID code on them as well as having dual language books and boxes.
