How old are you?

I sometimes wonder how much different my life would have been, or if it would have been different at all, if my parents hadn't raised me watching what they like to watch... so a lot of Tarantino.

14, why? I've seen all of Taritino's movies except for that one and Reservoir Dogs because it never came on TV, and my mom didn't want me watching Pulp, but my dad didn't care. And, I have netflix now too so I can watch Reservoir Dogs whenever.

If I had a room solely designated for my piano and other instruments, I think the furniture would also have Queen Anne characteristics. Right now, I can only describe our living room as that it looks like Pottery Barn threw up all over it.

Any one thinks buying an HD-DVD player is a good idea? The movies are kind of cheap something like $5 and less . The 360 add-on is like $30 , so for $35 I can get a player and a movie which is like just the price of 1 bluray movie from amazon.

If you want a lot of movies, chances are you'll compensate the money you spend on the player. So it's not a bad idea a priori.

If you're fine with the idea of still needing a different player for new movies, then the economics might work out (you'll have to do the math on that one).

I probably wouldn't bother. The selection isn't growing, and not all of it is that cheap. Keep in mind there were some titles that had a lot of copies printed because they were giving them away with players.

Blu-rays are not all $30+, you can find plenty in the $5-10 range, especially if there's a sale. Since the selection of movies on HD-DVD is fixed, and won't include more recent releases, the chances that the same titles aren't that expensive on Blu-ray are fair.

Most $30+ Blu-Rays are either brand new releases, special editions, or are part of the Criterion Collection.

I have so many BluRays that cost $5-$8 new. Amazon, Walmart, and Costco are the places to check for that. Sometimes Best Buy has sales.

Call me a heretic, but I just do not like Reservoir Dogs. And I LIKE Tarantino's work, I really do. But for some reason that particular one just never really resonated with me. C'est la vie.
