I love Thai food, but rarely eat Pad Thai. It feels a bit bland compared to other Thai dishes - it's like the "safe" food people order the first time they eat at a Thai restaurant.

On the other hand, my wife eats it constantly.

It makes sense. I know people that judge Thai places based on their Pad Thai. If the Pad Thai is bad, they refuse to go back, but if it's good, they'll be happy to return and branch out with the menu.

I've had both good and bad Pad Thai, and personally I love the dish, but I can understand why some people don't.

Frown: I've only unlocked around thirty character's endings in Tekken Tag 2, so I have around twenty more to go and it is taking forever.

Smile: Checked the game settings, and turns out I was playing on "Ultra Hard". Damn Gremlins.

So at least I should be able to wrap the game up in a day or two.

 That's me! If a restaurant can't get pad thai right, then there is no point in going back for anything else.

My litmus test for a Thai restaurant is jade Curry.

There's a local "Thai" restaurant called Lemongrass that people seem to rave about. My wife and I frequented the place once. The curry was terrible and it came with a side salad drenched in Italian dressing (not kidding).

I spoke with my favorite Itamae (at a different restaurant of course) and he explained that besides a few customers, everything is "Westernized" as to be successful in this area flavors and textures need to be toned down.

"You Americans...You eat with eyes too much. I can make a roll that looks pretty tastes bland, but as long as it's pretty it will sell".

Ninja Gaiden is frustratingly awesome. I'm struggling with the boss in chapter 14, but I don't think I've beaten a single boss on the first try in this game. I'm still really impressed by almost everything about the game.

And yeah, Infinite is collecting dust right now. I'm a bit "in the zone" with NG and TT2, but I'll pick up Infinite soon. Hopefully. Just wish I never stopped playing it but you know how gaming goes sometimes.

Ticked! This weekend I heard the first political ad of the season. Every election year, the special interest groups start these ads earlier. The midterm isn't until November, and they're already playing negative ads in January. This is going to be an ugly election season. I would just turn the radio off now if my job didn't depend on it.

You just broke my brain, Luke. Despite my broken brain, I find the story of your long-lived dog heartwarming as I am a dog lover myself. I always tear up like a child when the time comes.
