Multi player games: what side do you play on?

I prefer to play as 2p. A lot of times I play on 2p even when playing a 1 player game. I got in this habit at arcades, mainly from (ducks head in shame) DDR. Since the general public always plays on the 1 player side, i found the right hand pads for 2p to be in better shape. I find this on some arcade cabs too, the joystick/buttons on the 2p side take less of a beating.

It depends. I prefer to be second player in console fps, because I'm so sed to playing them at other peoples houses. I like 2p on arcade cabs also, but besides that I don't care.

I prefer 1P because it's the side I'm used to when I play alone, but I have no problems playing 2P.

i added 3p/4p... i didn't realize it would erase peoples votes though. about 8 votes for 1P disappeared.

ALWAYS 2P in arcades for the same reasons as the o/p.

Especially on light gun games. The guns always tend to aim better on the 2p slot because the retards never use it. They always use 'common sense' and play 1P.

Also, depending on the machine I tend to play both 1P and 2P on myself.
