Because I have an XL, and I don't have any problems. But after reading all this shit about the screens I'm EXTRA careful with mine now, although I don't put a cloth between the screens or anything.
I hope I am not jinxing myself, but I also haven't seen any scratches. I have an early model regular 3DS. There is not a single scratch on either screen. I don't use covers or anything. It's traveled in coat and pants pocket, as well as just loose in a suitcase or backpack.
I placed a screen protector on all the family cell phones, one of which now has scratches. I am not keen on pulling the really stuck on protector due to damage risk of the touch screen sensor plate underneath. My family has all moved on to newer larger phones when the contract came up for renewal. Well, all except for me, I like the compactness of my older touch screen cell since it fits easily in the front pants pocket. Plus I now have a couple of backups if my phone ever dies.
I think the screen protector is moot due to the replacement risk issues when it gets scratched.

I only read the ones dedicated to individual games and they seem okay.
The smaller/more tight knit the specific community, the better it usually is (that goes for ANY online community really, not just GameFAQs boards). The more popular boards are the ones that are more overrun with trolls.

Current Events, Poll of the Day, Cartoons and Animation, Politics, and any console-specific board for a current-gen console are the worst ones I know of.

The contest boards is when shit really hits the fan like character and video game poll tournaments. The console wars is too real on gamefaqs like most of the other commercial sites.

Unfortunately, The Legacy Platforms board turned into System Wars - Classic Edition. Years back, there were some good users and discussions on there.
So I finally completed Broken Sword , one of the games I always wanted to play ever since I started it on my PSX back in '98 I believe (I do not think I passed the first level) . Of course, I used a guide.
I was impressed by the story which made me want to know whats going to happen next unlike other point and click adventures I have tried such as Monkey Island and Simon The Sorcerer . The best thing I liked about the game was that dialogue was short and to the point on the opposite of many other games where you will get lines and lines of text which is not interesting int he first place. You can also skip sentences , many other games will force you to read the whole thing or totally skip the whole conversation.
Although it had some of the stupid action that do not make logical sense that is found in all point and click adventures (use a towel as a fan belt on a truck) , most of the time it made sense. Moving your finger around the screen would pop up points of interest and what you can do with them making gameplay much more enjoyable and easier on the opposite of having to move the cursor over every single item and given about 6-10 different commands over it to see if it is going to do any thing like in the Monkey Island series.
One major draw is the animation, it was very bad. I tried to remember hard where I saw animation that bad and then I discovered it was Zelda on Philips CDi . Not sure why a developer that is talented as to make a multiplatform videogame with beautiful backgrounds had difficulty with drawing characters with animation something that has been perfected from he early 1900s . I believe there are 9-graders who can draw better than that.
Any one continued to play further in the series that can tell me if it gets better or worse?

Isn't that a Gamespot board? AFAIK GF and GS boards are still separate, except for the game-specific ones.
