So this weekend i was able to finally try the all migthy Wii with his motion controlled games for the first time... is kinda weird.

First i tried DK returns and i has having fun and i like the game (maybe if i played more i'll like it as much as the original) but there was something on the whole that's didn't click for me and that was the controls. It was jus about the feeling but i can't explain it... i was in need for a regular controller.

Ok i switched to RE 4, great game on the gamecube still a great game on the wii. It feels more easy to point to the enemies but not because the wii mote is higly precise or anything but instead of using a laser you have a circle to point the enemies and that thing dosen't even need to be on dead center to make your shot hit the target. Also i didn't know how to reload until hunnigan show me the playing manual

Then i decided to try a FPS, since from the very beggining i though that the wii mote will do perfect on this, and i tried CoD Modern Warfare... it sucks, i played the training sessioin at least 7 times changing the sensivity and dead zones for several minutes... i prefer a dualshock... that was a huge bummer.

But then New Super Mario bros Wii, great game. Super Mario Galaxy another great game but i didn't got to play it for more than 30 minutes.

Overall the wii has great games... but i prefer to play them with a regular controller
Maybe i just need to give it more.

This is a popular opinion. The game is notorious for its broken controls.

Can anyone explain the Future/Past element of Sonic CD to me?...

In the past version of each level, there's a machine that produces robots or something. Destroying it by jumping on it gives that level a good future, which means that if you go to the future version of that level the look and music will be different, plus no enemies. If you get the good future for both levels of an act, the third stage (the boss level) will be in a good future as well. If you get the good future for all of the levels in the game, you get the good ending when you beat the final boss.

Isn't the "Good Future" ending the same as the ending when you get all the chaos emeralds? I should already know this...

Past/Future element of Sonic CD

Take what BoringSupreez already pointed out -- go to the past in the first 2 acts of any zone, destroy the enemy generator (huge metallic looking device that looks almost like a teleportation object, usually also at the highest point of a level), get a Good Future for that Act. Act 3 is a Good Future if you find and destroy both devices in Act 1 and Act 2.

At the point when you get the 7 Time Stones, every act for the rest of the game will have Good Futures, as well as the ending you'd get as a result of that (either getting all Good Futures or all 7 Stones gets you the good ending). You will no longer have to go back to the past after that. I made it a point when I played it on the PC to have that happen at the earliest possible moment (getting the last Stone after Quartz Quadrant Act 1, then Act 2 & beyond are all Good) so that I wouldn't have to mess with time travel in the Wacky Workbench zone.

Interesting. Thanx guys.

I think I've only achieved the "good ending" in the first Sonic.

I've done good on both Sonic 1 and Sonic CD, but only by getting the Chaos Gems via special stages. Destroying the machines in the past turns it into quite a challenge and I don't think I'll ever be up to it (but might be fun to try sometime anyways).

Sonic 2 I have only cheated for the good ending and Sonic 3 (& Knuckles) I always have to beat it, then go back to the 1st level to get all the gems.

If I ever want it to happen on the SMS/GG Sonics, I'm going to have to abuse save states.

Same here, and that's only because in Sonic 1 memorizing the special stages is a lot easier because speed isn't as big of a factor as it is in the other games' special stages.

Just beating those games alone, without the Chaos Emeralds, is a feat in itself. Those that can do both, are amazing platformer gamers.

I will say my only gripe with Sonic CD is that it has hands down, the lamest easiest final boss fight in the series by far. It's definitely a bit anticlimactic, haha.
